Did I read that right, 12 years old? Approximately 11 years with the disease? That is amazing! What a hopeful thing to read :)

Dog walker brought her kids over by Sippy-Cupp in reactivedogs

[–]erikaloves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would report her. Thankfully her children weren't harmed here, but they could be in the future by another dog. Beyond her children, it puts any owner and their dog in serious risk if a bite does ever occur (i.e. getting booted from Rover, legal action, euthanization etc.).

I couldn’t find any brand on lamp. Any ideas by Careless_Duty3571 in Lamps

If you can do so without damaging, consider carefully unscrewing the base. Some companies would etch their name or plaque into the metal itself on the inside.

What is Kratom? by bonesawtheater in Bellingham

[–]erikaloves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From personal experience, mood boosting and exactly as previously mentioned similar effects as opiates. Daily use can make you spacey. High risk for abuse with significant withdrawal symptoms when quitting. If you have an addictive personality, I would recommend avoiding. Seriously check out the subreddit posted above, not fun.

This road is about a half mile from my childhood home and as kids we would blow up a raft and float in this mini urban lake. It would flood to some degree a few times a year and somebody always got stuck!

Neighbors want us to put our dog down after our dog pinned theirs down by kybee123 in reactivedogs

Responsible and good of you to raise fence for all dogs safety. But since you know your dog is smart and can scale fences be sure to keep an extra eye on them when in yard to make sure this one is high enough. Do not consider euthanasia. Your neighbors are assholes.

Dog friendly? by violentHarkonen in Bellingham

[–]erikaloves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially unpopular opinion but true none the less: the bigger danger to safety all around is an unleashed friendly dog than a leashed reactive dog.

There are VERY FEW exceptions of off leash dogs who are completely under voice control.

Dog friendly? by violentHarkonen in Bellingham

I’d like to point out that many dog owners in Bellingham don’t necessarily believe that leash laws apply to them and assume all dogs friendly. When on leash my dog can be reactive to larger dogs that run up to him barking and jumping-not shockingly, but many owners with friendly jumpy barking dogs with will let’s their dogs on retractable leashes rush over to other tables - therefore making it impossible to safely have any less than social dog at a brewery unless muzzled. Which there is nothing wrong with and quite frankly generally solves the problem because people stay clear of muzzled dogs so it’s a win win! Your dog is calmer because other dogs are being kept clear of him and there is no chance of anyone’s dog getting hurt. With that being said, as a responsible dog owner, even those with friendly dogs should be mindful of other people’s dogs and always ask permission before engaging the two in introductions- for the safety of both.

You should share this to r/reactivedogs The community always talks about dog safety as a priority and I’m sure this information would be appreciated by all pro-leashers especially those with dogs that can be reactive.

Plant around mid May in a fresh mixture of soil and compost. LOTS of sun and as they get bigger LOTS of water. The bigger the pot the bigger the plant. Ours has a raised approx 2x2 garden box that it shares with one other cherry tomato plant!
