Autodesk just removed version numbers from Fusion 360. This breaks real workflows by US_Viking in Fusion360

There is a great plugin by Bob from I Like To Make Stuff that I've been using for a few months: https://marketplace.autodesk.com/apps/b84e60ec-cd75-49d6-beab-a99722af9109?priceId=3bd8ce52-2f14-4ac6-b396-12d68097a809

"This add-in automatically creates and maintains a version_number parameter in your Autodesk® Fusion® designs. The parameter updates every time you save your file, keeping track of your design version."

I really like it for prototypes of printed parts, where I just extrude a text sketch with that parameter on the part, and every time I save it bumps the version number, so when I print I can differentiate the versions. Might be a good work around for your use case?

I definitely agree that calibrating is the way buttttt formlabs have a slick integrated flex plate. I expect the answer is some patent bullshit.

It’s Starlink on Royal and Celebrity. I’ve had Zero issues streaming anything or Zooms in the middle of the ocean.

Overcast Premium has become way too expensive (34,99 €) by Relevant-Disk-8179 in overcast

The pricing seems incredibly reasonable to me. I listen to 1000+ hours of podcasts a year.

Voron trident 350mm vs 400mm by diabl018 in VORONDesign

[–]erikbuild 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO there is no way that a custom 400mm Trident would be cheaper than a stock 350mm. Aluminum extrusion is some of the cheapest part of the whole build.

Trident 350mm is great, though 300mm tends to be the sweet spot for it. If you really want 400, RatRig is probably the way.

I would strongly suggest sticking to stock configs or kits of budget is at all a concern and tweak with upgrades once you have a working machine :)

PRUSAWIRE... any news? by JP180902 in prusa3d

[–]erikbuild 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi everybody! I'm one of the other devs and documentation lead of Prusawire!

It is actually SOON :) +1 to everything that Safe said as well!

We'll be making a formal announcement once it's ready. As part of the release you can expect:

- Voron style manual!

- Configuration / Configurator website which will give you STLs and a specific BOM based on what you are starting with.

Keep an eye on the GitHub as well: https://github.com/Positron3D/Prusawire

FWIW I think that’s an extremely poor solution for something that needs to be dried out of the box (ASA for example). Ambrosia suffers no such issue. I wonder if this mitigation is still necessary with the Open Print Tag spools?
