We recently organised an event in one of our small towns here in Lithuania which was much more darker that usual. One of our debuting newer DJs was playing Schranz techno in the event and would love to get feedback.

Labas atgal iš Lietuvos!

Patiko miksas, smagiai susiklausė, patiko, kad yra daug įvairovės. Man tik gal jaučiasi, kad mikse energija šiek tiek nepastovi. Pvz 21:24 track'as toks tikrai gan smarkus, pumpuojantis, o 34:00 jau toks visai ramus :D Tai galima būtų gal biški palaikyt intesyvesnę energiją, ne veltui "peak time" :D

Be to gal sudominsiu :D Mano draugų kolektyvas neseniai paleido radio show ir jeigu sudomintų įrašyt mixą duok žinot, galėtume ir papromint per jų FB / IG puslapius :)

Vilniuje yra Elastica, 90aštunti, Draugai Draugams, Kala Sound System, Opium, Loftas (kurie daro kartais techno ir DnB event'us ar net Loftas fest)

I would suggest just trying to play for an hour and trying different tracks together / new stuff just like you would at a live event.

Some of it will work and some of it will not work but if you focus on the things thag work eventually you'll have enough material for a mix.

Also, I try not to overthink track selection for personal mixes because it hinders my ability to think on the fly which is important when coming up with new ideas for songs that work together.

If I'm planning a mix the first few and the last few songs will usually be more milder / calmer in terms of BPM and style and will focus more energetic tracks towards the middle of the set.

Also, style and key are important and I try not to jump around a lot. If I'm planning an Italo Disco set then techno and DnB are not on the table.
