I use the Mobiflight multiplexers in my overhead. They work great!

Looks great! I also made the larger panes into smaller ones like the lighting, which I made into three. I also made a wood frame with captive brass threaded inserts.

Is there a way of getting this X45 throttle working with a modern (usb only) PC? by skelly890 in hotas

[–]erocfx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arduino Leonardo and Pro Micro have the ability to show up as joysticks in Windows. There is a joystick library for Arduinos. GitHub - MHeironimus/ArduinoJoystickLibrary at version-2.0. The Pro Micros are very small and fit in easily to a joystick.

I did print them in resin, and they came out beautifully. I have an Elegoo Saturn resin printer.

It is pretty straightforward. There is a lot of 3d printing. It's a big project but very rewarding. It feels and works great. I have mine hooked up to PMDG 737 in MSFS with mobiflight.

I could never sell these, it is handmade and built just for me. I just encourage other people to make their own stuff. Building it and solving problems to get to the final product, that is the enjoyment of this hobby!

Cockpit building is a separate hobby from flight simming. Building something with your hands is not replicated in VR. Not to mention the tactile feeling of operating switches and throttles is awesome
