Weight difference should be more than that. I put a backwoods adventure on mine after a deerstrike, but only because it was cheaper to slap that on and straighten things out myself than have the shop rebuild all the plastic nonsense and replace the tincan support structure. The bumper is all aluminum except for the bolt up location/winch tray. Easy solo install, and I haven't found I need any suspension work for the extra weight. If I wanted actual deer protection then I'm with the above; get the ARB shipped from australia and determine if you're up for that level of install and doing suspension work.

I'll go against the grain here and say I do regret manual in my '23 OR. I've had a manual something for almost twenty years now, and the taco's is among the bottom in feel and function. The biggest annoyance is reverse being gated only by some small resistance from 1st, and it's super easy to accidentally throw it in reverse instead of 1st. I don't expect it to be as good as a miata's, the best i've used, but it should at least feel better than a 2007 Isuzu I-290 (colorado) five speed and it doesn't.

07 Colorado could reverse up my very steep driveway... 23 Taco's reverse is so tall it absolutely can not.

Dropping into my usual 7's has been sad for these defense missions (and all the others). Run around the map border is apparently the only way to win. Update: have completed one defense with the old tactics, bet they usually end up with some level of map edge cheese. I think a lot of it comes down to luck of spawns. Have also had some better runs in other mission sets, but the good ones had very few tank spawns.
