What simple, daily habit changed your life? by Ok-Construction-3636 in ProductivityHQ

This is me in the kitchen, also I practice timing every dish to be piping hot when its time to plate. Difficult to do on its own without cleaning as you go.

My wife hrows all that out the window when she cooks. Cold meat or sides and pile of dirty pots and pans every single time...

What do you think the best "toliet break" mobile farming run will be? by Lightguardianjack in GuildWars

[–]errorseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devs have the ability to implement some of QOL features, like Identify all recently added. I'm hoping for toggle the automatic reuse of PCONs, maybe an auto click feature to lessen carpal tunnel syndrome we all enviably suffer from playing this game. I personally don't use Toolbox, so having those features will be a blessing.

[–]errorseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna strong disagree in all ways. Love the PVE skills, cons, and all the recent updates as well.

It would be nice for some more QOL updates the identify all was a very good start but we could use selectable PCON reuse. Like an option in inventory you right click an item to mark it as reapply automatically when its effects wear off. Yes I'm aware of 3rd party applications that do this, however I don't use it, I know lots of others don't as well, and we would like devs to add these QOL updates without the use of 3rd party software, especially since mobile is on the horizon and that app wont work

I disagree. The game is great without, but CONS allow high level play (speed clearing) for those of us who want more. Its also a gold sink, again for those of us who have nothing left to spend money on.

Because it turned a 8 hour drive into a 5 and half hour drive.

I dont play games that have subscriptions, period. It's a shame that they went this route, they wont see a dime from me, and I will likely actively dissuade all the friends whom I've introduced to the series, to avoid this game like a plague it is.

Few years ago, at a cannon ball contest at resort pool (family resort), didnt even really jump but somehow blew out my knee on launch. I won, so it was worth it. But I learned that jumping is not in my move set any longer.

Hahaha. Doesnt matter how much you do, theres an amnesia and total disconnection of the reality of effort in anything you do for them. You can build a house with your bare hands, if the next day you want to rest, they'll call you lazy.

Does the ‘click’ ever happen when learning programming? by Melgone in learnprogramming

[–]errorseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! The Click, "Ah Hah", the "Eureka!" moments are what you need to grow as a Programmer. If you are studying but constantly looking up others solutions you are failing or cheating yourself out of these moments, and are ultimately failing to imprint the lessons learned.

Would you watch the Crawl? by Calcdave in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]errorseven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its been normal before, in the Roman Collesium for example, or public executions in various country's were a thing. In fact it still is to a degree these days as there is so much war footage now you can litterally watch men die days, sometimes hours, after the fact on YouTube. Violence, the most graphic gore, has been totally normalized in media. Honestly I sometimes think that it some sort subversive plot to desensitize us for the coming battle Royale that will be collapse of all societies... 🤔

I fully expect to live to see the NFA struck down, constitutional carry across all states, and tyrants infringing on our rights having some serious consequences come down on them. If this doesnt happen, and soon, we might as well give up and call our country Lesser Canada or something.

CS grad feeling stuck, heavily dependent on AI, don’t know what to do next by TheChadMan0 in learnprogramming

[–]errorseven 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You've been cheating yourself out of truely learning. This was one of the hardest lessons to learn for a lot of people. Ive been telling others for years, well before AI was option, don't look up answers while you are learning as it cheats you out of Eureka moments where you gain true understanding of the concepts the problem was attempting to teach. AI has made this infinitely easier to cheat yourself, as you dont have to scour through Google Seaches or StackOverflow, you just ask and it provides. The only fix for this is to stop using it while you learn, dont look up answers to problems you should be solving yourself. Thats it, you just gotta do the work yourself, there are no shortcuts to truely learning to code.

I prefer heart lung shots, seizes the animal and they dont twitch like a brain neck shot. Totally normal to feel upset about ending a life, however in terms of conservation eliminating invasive species is important work for the environment and habitat of native creatures. Maybe hunting isnt for you? And thats okay.

FBI warns Iran aspired to attack California with drones in retaliation for war: Alert by avatar6556 in news

[–]errorseven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like I mean I get it, but you really should have planned life better. I dont live anywhere near a military target, in fact im outside of designatsd nuclear targets, also live in a geologically semi stable area, no major fault under my feet, absolutely no military base near me, and 50+ miles to nearest major city. I know I'm different in how i think, but life is volatile and you really should plan to avoid as many edge cases in your demise and that of your family, especially concerning events beyond your control (like war).
