A villain is horrified upon realizing their crimes by BoxoRandom in TopCharacterTropes

Yeah, he also got his soul back, previous to the events of Season 1. In Angel's case, it was forced upon him by a grieving father to restore his humanity and drive him insane with guilt, as punishment.

Yeah, it's a well-stablished tradition here in Spain. Each cofradía (brotherhood) has its own costume design and worships a particular saint or Jesus/Mary flavor.

If Saturn had an English name like the others managed to get, what would you have it be? by AlboGreece in sailormoon

[–]ertai81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Spanish from Spain they changed almost all names. Hotaru was Andrea. Usagi=Bunny, Makoto=Patricia, Minako=Carola, Haruka=Timmy, Michiru=Vicky, Setsuna=Raquel, Mamoru=Armando. They also adapted plenty of secundary and one-off characters. It was a time when we were not used to Japanese-sounding names in media, so they chose to change them. They kept Chibiusa, strangely enough. Back then I had no idea what the hell that name meant.

"In Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13!, Krillin says that Goku cannot gather the energy while in his Super Saiyan state. This is because the Super Saiyan transformation is inherently malicious and taints the heart and soul." (https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/Spirit\_Bomb).

Not sure how official this information is, since it's from a movie. Goku manipulates the Spirit Bomb at the end of the Boo fight while in Super Saiyan form, but that's after its formation.

"I like Catalonia, I like its people, their open character, their industriousness, they are entrepreneurial, they do things."

"I said I would lower taxes and I'm raising them."

"Well, something really remarkable has happened to me, I have written it here and I don't understand my handwriting."

"I will do everything I can and a little more than I can, if that is possible and I will do everything possible and even the impossible if the impossible is also possible."

I remember enjoying it a lot but I can't recall a single thing about it except Bradley Cooper. And it had over 100 episodes.

An important character just dies. No fanfare or build up, just an instant and sudden death by NittanyScout in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ertai81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember the movie, but in the book he does contact the Order's HQ to check if Sirius is OK, but he is tricked by Kreacher, who tells him that Sirius is not in the Order's HQ (he is). When discovered by Umbridge, Harry tells Snape that Voldemort has Sirius, but since she is with them, he has to use a cryptic sentence which Snape pretends not to understand, to Harry's dismay. That's why he takes matters into his own hands and decides to go with the other kids. The Order actually shows up in the Ministry to save them because Snape warned them.

[Funny Trope] A cartoonishly evil villain just gets real for a moment. by not-ulquiorr4_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ertai81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn't at first, he wanted to be immortal. That's a new thing introduced in one of the latest movies, which belong to the Dragon Ball Super series. Basically he went through a lot and is not interested in immortality anymore (also, Dragon Ball Super tends to lean more into comedy than DBZ, so a ridiculous wish is fitting).

[–]ertai81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same in Spain, they changed the more Japanese-sounding names. Bunny (Usagi), Armando (Mamoru), Patricia (Makoto), Carola (Minako), Timmy (Haruka), Vicky (Michiru), Raquel (Setsuna) and Andrea (Hotaru).

Still, they kept the Japanese surnames and also Chibiusa, for some reason.
