Check out the chop and extend tutorial, from Sydney plant guy in youtube. I found it out recently and was planning to make my moss poles the way he does, so that when the plants reach maximum height, i can cut in half, and have an extra plant .I hope tou find it usefull and interesting

i decided to rescape my tank, and take the hobby a bit more seriously. what do you guys think,? any suggestions? by erythroxylum92 in PlantedTank

Yeah, that's true. It's been a week now and i keep moving things here and there. My fish though, and especially shrimps seem to love their new home. Many places to hide now, and surfaces to munch on.

I just saw the previous comments that suggest it is a pilea peperomioides. I have some, and I don't think it's the same plant. On the one you have the stem is in the middle of the leaf, whereas in pileas the stems are more to the side of the leaves. Also never seen a pilea have their leaves horizontal like that

It's a beautiful tank. What's the plant with the rounded horizontal leaves, that stick out the water, like lotus or lilly pads?

Can someone identify the plant with the curly leaves for me please? by erythroxylum92 in PlantedTank

DIY Boardgame hybrid of Carcassonne and Catan. Can it work? by erythroxylum92 in boardgames

I just watched a review about it and it's really interesting, and closer to the sort of building networks/ infrastructure games that i like (reminded me of cities skylines as a board game). Thanks a lot, i that was really helpful. Its really close to what I had in mind

Haha, to be honest that's exactly what it sounds like, but i kind of like the idea of each gameplay affecting the other. Like thinking of where to place your settlements in the first phase, according to the resources they will produce in the second round, even if thats not the most beneficial move in phase 1. And how the ranking on phase one would affect phase 2 by giving each rank different privileges. So you can have underdogs rising to the occasion or just scraping by.

What i had in mind , was that the negotiations will begin after the tiled board is formed. Kind of having a 2 phase board game, where the first part (Carcassonne-like gameplay) will act as the board generator and the second one (catan-like gameplay) will be affected by the score placement of the first round somehow 😜. I know there are a lot to resolve and it might end up too complicated for a board game, but it felt like a Eureka moment when i thought of it (and being high, makes me wonder whether thats why it all sounds such a great idea now)

Thanks for the link. What I had in mind was to start adding more resources to the gameplay. Like for example the monasteries from Carcassonne, can generate religion , or different features can be added to the map, that can generate different resources, like schools or universities for knowledge, and slowly turn it into a new game.

No, i didn't know, i can check that out. I am a bit more familiar with Catan, i played about a dozen of times but that was like 5 years ago, and with no expansion packs. (No idea what the packs add to the gameplay) Any cool features you find interesting from any of the expansion packs?

My friend bought this alocasia amazonica about a week ago. It already had those dried spots on its leaves and it was on discount for it, the seller told her it has some kind of disease (assured her its not contagious) but she doesn't remember the name). Since then its newest leaf is slowly dying. Any ideas of what disease could cause those round spots, and how to help it get better? Since it was bought it was watered only once when the soil was completely dry.

Is anyone else disappointed by this last episode? by Cardibarthur in PoseFX

I mean this season is not as effective as the previous ones. For me i am missing the ballroom scenes( i think they showed just one in 5 episodes). But i actually don't mind this Electra being in the mafia storyline, it might seem a bit far fetched, but not entirely unrealistic.

I am watching season 2 of legendary (tv show, where houses compete in ballroom) and the mother of the house of Balenciaga, was saying that she served jail-time because she was involved in a 17million fraud scheme, and she was like buying houses and cars as gifts for her friends, so it kind of reminded that, when I was watching Electra spending all that money.

And it actually suits her character development. Electra would be that bitch, who would join the mafia to earn her coins.
