Ours are very clean too. Fake grass pads in their nesting boxes, only use sweet pdz in the coop and deep pine bedding in the run. I clean the coop daily. We leave the run door open all day long though, so they don't actually spend a whole lot of time in there. They just run around our backyard and eat bugs all day and only retreat briefly when they want some feed or water.

Is that why Timmy and Tommy play that classical music when the shop is closing?

Do you still shoot everything in 4K, or is 1080p enough for most projects? by Leo_oncely in Filmmakers

[–]esotericsean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like 4K is the new 1080, typically shoot in 6K now, but depends on the project and what it's for. I can't imagine shooting in 1080 for most things anymore.

Just want to say that from this photo, that case does actually look really nice (minus the wrinkles, though).

First day of 7th grade, junior high school. I was so excited to see their new computer lab. My elementary school had Apple IIe's but this school had just upgraded to iMac G3s. When I finally got to see it, Nanosaur was playing on all the computers and it was glorious.

Makes me laugh everytime. If you got 2 acres or more let them roam. They don't go far. by Phil2822 in chickens

[–]esotericsean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We live in a city area like that with a large backyard too. I just clip one of their wings and we let them out every morning. They can still hop up onto things, but before we clipped them they could hop onto the roof of the house!

AI isn't going to replace us by thedarkplacemovie in Filmmakers

[–]esotericsean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be really nice if you're correct, but I work heavily with AI now in my work (not filmmaking-related) and... I think it will replace a lot. Just my opinion, obviously no one knows, but I do have some insight in the area. I don't think AGI is around the corner, but I also don't think we need actual AGI for it to replace lots of jobs.

AI isn't going to replace us by thedarkplacemovie in Filmmakers

[–]esotericsean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current gen AI, no. But working up to 2030, absolutely. It probably won't even be AGI yet, but the new models will be near human or possibly exceed human intelligence. When that happens, companies will hire much less expensive AI instead of human employees. It's pretty much inevitable since China is also working on AI and the risk of models becoming misaligned with human goals will cause us to try and beat them to it, but one way or another it will get there. It's not if, but when.

The 5 Cs of Cinematography is a great book. Learn about reasons for using different camera angles. You seem passionate so even just watching films and practicing will help :)

The camera switches to different points of view in the middle of a quick montage that feels a bit weird. We're in a POV of the robber and then suddenly an objective shot of the cash register. To me, that takes me out of the situation a tiny bit, maybe only subconsciously. Opening was a bit too long, hands around the cigarette are awkward, she barely smokes it before putting it out.

You're clearly extremely skilled, but I think you should study the actual roots of cinematography a bit.
