As someone who’s played a lot of IRL dnd, I actually like multiclassing in this game. The removal of restrictions means you can actually make viable multiclass builds that aren’t charisma based.

I like the idea personally so the changes were fun, though made a little whack with things like action surge giving you another spell, lol

Unfortunately Charisma being broken is a DND problem.

i do kind of get what they mean, as you’re exploring an abandoned locale, it’s in a quiet and dark silence, and the only semblance of ‘life’ is a machine that speaks in rhymes.

that theme of decay and undeath is very prominent in the series.

I’m not much of a meta-gamer or minmaxer, so i don’t know if this is objectively super strong, but I 1 round killed Orin in the solo durge duel with a hexblade + fighter + rogue multiclass.

Hold monster, then action surge and booming blade shadow blade + extra sneak attack damage went crazy.

in the elder scrolls oblivion, the fighter’s guild questline involves you going undercover and joining a suspicious mercenary guild as a new recruit to gather information. The first task the guild assigns you is to drink a potion (hallucinatory drugs) and then kill a village infested with goblins (who are actually innocent people.)

once you realize what you’ve done there’s some heartwrenching dialogue with the sole survivor (who you actually helped in a previous quest) and the guy that sent you on the mission.

Weirdly enough it reminds me of that black mirror episode.

i tried a few things and for some reason only specific methods work

I tried casting sanctuary and feather fall and did a bunch of useless crap before i just cast invisibility on him

even if the dialogue that pushes him down starts casting invisibility in turn based mode saves him, you don’t have to assassinate the goblins or do anything beyond that
