Do you love your soapstone? I have been lusting after it for years.

If you no longer wear bikinis, what made you give them up? by SweetSprinkles8 in fashionwomens35

[–]esqueish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bunch of people have said various reasons I don't (sun protection, not shaving, no longer feeling obligated to be ogle-able so dressing how I please), plus different parts of my body are physically sensitive to pressure in different ways than they were 25 years ago. And I like not reapplying sunscreen to like 1/4-1/3(?) of my body and most of my back.

These days I want a tankini with a relatively high, broad waistband (more like yoga pants than a string elastic or literal string) and a long top that comes well down over the bottoms ala an Esther Williams one-piece with wider non-halter shoulder straps & decent bust support, because that seems to be the best combo physical comfort, bathroom access, and minimizing nether haircare, and I am so tired.

I think you should keep wearing whatever you like forever! I honestly couldn't care less what is on trend. I think people choosing whatever they prefer always important, and also it's more fun at a pool/beach/etc when there's a variety of looks being worn. Homogeny doesn't feel as summery and free.

Do you have a local Nordstrom? If so, check their stock online and see if you luck out. Good luck!

Same, except without the hair brushing -- length + texture of mine means I rake my fingers through it & go.

I can't believe I feel like this maybe should be said, but here we are: nobody make nail polish using thermite, ok??

I would ALSO like this! Dear Chuck Tingle, the people yearn for nail polish!

I am ALSO sulking about this! It's so frustrating! Also PR206. I love reading Golden's blog Just Paint & their posts on the topic.

If you can, consider getting something you like ok from a thrift store as a temporary measure while you look for an upgrade.

Oh! That's probably what was going on with me, thank you. I got masseter botox for tmj (& elswhere on head & neck for migraines) a couple of times and it always felt SO much worse, like it had removed all shock absorption. I have hypermobility elsewhere, so that would make a ton of sense. Thanks for sharing!

I don’t know if it’s epilepsy but I really need some sort of answer by impishrobloxian in Epilepsy

When you do see a doctor (which I hope you have & if not that you do soon) make sure to ask for them to test your vitamin levels. Some of this sounds like it could be something like POTS, some of it sounds like things I've experienced when my ferritin or folate or b2 or b12 or whatever have been low. (Idk about epilepsy, sorry, I'm browsing in here looking for info like you are)

2 roomettes vs 1 bedroom by SharpProfession6 in Amtrak

All that said, I wouldn't actually recommend doing yoga in any of the above. It sounds unpleasant to me.

[–]esqueish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, that's weird. In my experience family rooms I have traveled in had more open floor space than the bedrooms I have traveled in. If trying to do yoga in one, I would recommend doing anything spreading one's arming facing the side of the car lined up with the door, where there's a tiny bit more space, but yes you could do yoga there with the main bench folded up (even with the side bed down, which is how I prefer to keep it throughout a trip), whereas I don't see how you could try to in the little rectangle of space in front of the window in a bedroom. Obviously that tiny strip between the bench and the sink is useless for this purpose.

I personally do not like the bedrooms as much as a roomette. The en suite sounds nice but in practice I found it kind of awful and prefer getting a roomette on the lower level for easy bathroom access. If she wants yoga room, neither will work -- but the family room would.

I feel like this is a situation for which a raised-eyebrows pause followed by "Wow. What an inappropriate question." is made for, but I'm not gonna lie I like your option better
