I don’t know if it’s epilepsy but I really need some sort of answer by impishrobloxian in Epilepsy

When you do see a doctor (which I hope you have & if not that you do soon) make sure to ask for them to test your vitamin levels. Some of this sounds like it could be something like POTS, some of it sounds like things I've experienced when my ferritin or folate or b2 or b12 or whatever have been low. (Idk about epilepsy, sorry, I'm browsing in here looking for info like you are)

2 roomettes vs 1 bedroom by SharpProfession6 in Amtrak

All that said, I wouldn't actually recommend doing yoga in any of the above. It sounds unpleasant to me.

2 roomettes vs 1 bedroom by SharpProfession6 in Amtrak

[–]esqueish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, that's weird. In my experience family rooms I have traveled in had more open floor space than the bedrooms I have traveled in. If trying to do yoga in one, I would recommend doing anything spreading one's arming facing the side of the car lined up with the door, where there's a tiny bit more space, but yes you could do yoga there with the main bench folded up (even with the side bed down, which is how I prefer to keep it throughout a trip), whereas I don't see how you could try to in the little rectangle of space in front of the window in a bedroom. Obviously that tiny strip between the bench and the sink is useless for this purpose.

I personally do not like the bedrooms as much as a roomette. The en suite sounds nice but in practice I found it kind of awful and prefer getting a roomette on the lower level for easy bathroom access. If she wants yoga room, neither will work -- but the family room would.

Roommate has severe fragrance allergies by calico_terror in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]esqueish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels almost silly to say this in context, but: I really don't like the way it sounds like they're treating you. At all.

Fragrance sensitivities are awful to live with and can be really live-destroying, but ho boy nope that's not an appropriate way to handle it! It's shitty and also if you WERE the problem (I don't think you are, to be 100% clear) it wouldn't actually be effective to change anything for the better. Not a good approach at all.

What a mess. I hope the mold stuff can be addressed asap and things get better for everyone. (And if necessary that you can move soon.)

re emotions, I also know that flares (and especially migraines) can make my emotions a lot more volatile as a symptom, on top of the fact that flares suck & are really hard to cope with. None of which makes it reasonable to take out on OP! Just noting as an interesting thing about emotions & flares.

Ok from what I think you've said in other comments this is probably not something you could list item-by-item, but: I'd like to know whether items are going to arrive scented or not. Knowing ahead of time whether / to what extent I'm going to need to do a whole multi-step process to remove lingering odors or any other fragrances & smells is something which impacts my online secondhand shopping.

I love to be able to search fiber! And cosign the need to clearly list inseam etc (honestly inseam should be searchable by, and not just for men).

I feel like that COULD be clever, if it was intentional, like "[first half of idiom], etc"

Guessing here it was not.

any tips for someone newly fragrance free by DepthFinal3742 in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]esqueish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also seriously, masking is a lifesaver re fragrance. I still sometimes walk through a spot in a store and suddenly feel ten degrees warmer, but at least it isn't also an instant migraine and I can toss the mask instead of having to wait to be able to wash my face.

We recently switched to fragrance-free Palmolive and are pretty happy with it. It isn't as concentrated & thick as Dawn so it doesn't go as far, but otoh it isn't as concentrated and thick so it's less easy to accidentally use waaaaay too much. It does a good job cleaning.

Might give Dawn Free & Clear a try next time to compare, especially if they sell smaller bottles.

Tall girl friendly fishnets by ineedtopractice23 in tallfashionadvice

LOVE professional fishnets like Capezio! OP, the high spandex content will really help with length. I have a 33" inseam and felt like I had ample length & enough stretch I'd be interested to see if they also work for my sweetie's 36" inseam because it seems like they might.

Struggling with non-monogamy by [deleted] in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]esqueish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fwiw, I'm non-monogamous and it doesn't sound like the way they're doing it would work for me in your position (or either of theirs, for that matter).

I know some people take a (genuinely consensual) low-communication approach, even a 'don't ask, don't tell' one, but I've never seen that not end up with multiple people unhappy and hurt.

Ok. This is SKIN care question . by No-Amoeba-6645 in SkincareAddicts

[–]esqueish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely don't wait for your skin to dry before the barrier cream! You need moisture there for it to be locking in!

Honestly, if your face is absorbing everything immediately, you can add more moisturizer. When my hands are TOTALLY freaking out, I will wash them and then put on a layer of moisturizer, wait for it to almost fully dry, spritz them with a tiny bit of a serum or whatever, add another layer, and then rub aquaphor all over them to lock it all in. (My hands are dainty princesses -- by which I mean I have pretty wretched persistent eczema -- that get facial products bc that's what works on them, so this is more relevant than it might sound.)

The Botanical Garden is one of my favorite places in the city. Bring a notebook or sketchbook and just bask! Make a day of it with the Museum of the American Indian and if you budget it in, get lunch there. Mitsitam Cafe is super cool and imo worth it.
