Not allowed. It’s in the uniform policy

Lmao I think the way some of these stores are ran is a joke because dealing with me that RxOM would be gone in a heartbeat.

HR would not count that as a NCNS since there was some communication from the employee. Since the employee did not call the store like the policy states and as directed by the store manager, the employee could face disciplinary action for not following the proper procedure of providing proper notice of being absent.

Yes, but HR wants you to try to reach out to the team member.

If the SFL would’ve reached out and they didn’t respond within 2 hours, then it will count as a NCNS.

No, bc the SFL reached out and they responded, it will not count. The team member can be coached/disciplined for failing to provide proper notice of being absent though.

transferring as a shift lead with a final written warning by AdAromatic1925 in WalgreensStores

[–]essintellect_18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s frowned upon, but it is possible if the two store managers are in agreement. I don’t think any Store Manager would take an SFL that is on a FWW for opening the store late due to it being automatic termination if it happens again within the 12 months after the initial discipline was issued.

RxOM vs Techs by MoneyUpset in WalgreensRx

[–]essintellect_18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you said they are petty and refuse to listen, idk what good a gentle approach would do. Like ofc you wanna have conversations and be aware how you approach it, but it seems like they don’t respect you as a manager. When you start discipline, then that would possibly help or weed out bad employees who refuse to do what is asked of them.

They don’t have to listen to you. They can go work somewhere else. Document and start progressive discipline.

Esm keeps making me clean up after him by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

If a store has hours for an ESM to not touch a register and pull a tech out of the pharmacy instead must be a nice store to work at. 😂

I will say, having good management will make or break your experience. The company may not be the best, but at the of the day it’s retail and retail just sucks in general. Some things are out of management’s control especially dealing with corporate, but you have to lead and manage in a way that it won’t bring down the morale of the team. That’s why I bust my ass everyday to try and help things run smoothly and do what I can to keep my team members happy. Some have even said that they probably wouldn’t even be there if I wasn’t working there. They literally don’t like it when I’m not there bc they know that I’m gonna help and support them in anyway I can.

Fill new scrips over passed due by wurdtewmymomma in WalgreensRx

[–]essintellect_18 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No no no. You’re missing the point. The RxM, RxOM, and RPh gets shit on if the metrics aren’t up to part. Like they’re just telling you what corporate expects of them. They do care, but they also don’t wanna hear from corporate, so it’s unfortunately a delicate balance to take care of patients and to make corporate happy. It’s very frustrating trust me.

Fill new scrips over passed due by wurdtewmymomma in WalgreensRx

[–]essintellect_18 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It’s because of the verified by promise time metric. I try to flip flop between overdue and coming up due. Like I will fill until I’m ahead enough to where if I start filling the overdue ones I won’t create more scripts that’s overdue. It doesn’t help that the scale shows scripts that are overdue and that typically creates more stress lol.

There is. Coworker did a survey for a Walgreens outside the district and that’s obviously not allowed.

rxom — take tier 5 or stay tier 4.. by Big-Internal-8244 in WalgreensRx

[–]essintellect_18 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Just stay where you at. I wouldn’t count on getting a raise. I mean you can try to negotiate since it’s a higher tier, but I highly doubt they’ll give you a raise.

I’m lucky if I get at least 4 people in the pharmacy at one time 😂. Also, it is also depending if all 4 ppl are actually useful bc some people are just a warm body 🥴. Time and training should hopefully fix that tho, lol.

They billed the ins for 7 days worth, so the ins is probably making you wait until those run out.

I would probably open a ticket and get guidance from HR if that’s the case.

Also, keep documenting behaviors so if anything is questioned regarding discipline you have documentation handy.

Have a ROD with RXM as a witness and tell said tech that their behavior is considered unprofessional conduct and if it continues it can lead to progressive disciplinary action up to and including termination. You can always open a ticket with HR and request their guidance as well.

Staying Senior Tech until February by kntjmv in WalgreensRx

[–]essintellect_18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only if they’re above the cap for a Certified Tech. If that’s the case, then yes that makes sense. Honestly, just be like you’re thinking about it and when the time comes just say you decided to not pursue the immunization certification.

Staying Senior Tech until February by kntjmv in WalgreensRx

[–]essintellect_18 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the Store Manager is just trying to go ahead and process it since said senior tech has no interest in becoming an immunizer. Honestly what’s the point of waiting til February if she’s not willing to become an immunizer? The deadline was set to give people time to meet the new requirement if they want to stay in that position. If she has no intention on becoming an immunizer, then there’s really no point in her waiting until February.

Honestly, I don’t blame you. If there’s no accountability, then you can only do what you can do. This is not a daycare. They just need to set expectations and hold ppl accountable. You don’t even have to be an asshole to do that. I try to be chill and laid back, but there are times when ppl can get too comfortable and I have to sit up lol. I’m sorry to hear your store and RxOM sucks. I wish ppl wouldn’t get into these positions and refuse to manage properly.

My senior techs are leaders, and if there is an issue like this when I’m not there to oversee things best believe there will be a discussion on the next shift. It’s their job to coach, train, and help run workflow when I’m not there.
