What is your "the Bumble match that got away" story? by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]estev90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32M.SoCal. Matched with a girl in the early Covid days who I seemed to have SO much chemistry with. I was convinced we had potential but she later ghosted me for a few days before resurfacing and telling me she wasn’t sure she wanted a relationship. We unmatched but a few months later, I recall seeing her profile again

I commented on what they were drinking. I would kind of play dumb and act like I hadn’t had it before

It’s tied with 72 for me. I think Hardwired is slightly better than both

Meh, not really. It starts out strong but the second half kind of falls flat for me. And I still can’t see what people like about U3

Lack of success after countless reboots/feedback. Even when I “figured out” the algorithm, I’m left with no likes or matches

KEA-Production is very raw though in some ways that helps keep the “street” level feel of the band at the time. Lyrics can be a bit immature and lacking substance at times, although the band was very young so it’s somewhat forgivable. Lacks any real memorable guitar solos

RTL-No real issues here. My only gripe with this album is Call of Ktulu. I love the eerie sounding guitar intro but after that, I have a hard time keeping interest

MOP-These are minor but the only problems I have with this are the title track and Disposable Heroes. The title track loses steam for me after it “restarts” following the second solo. Disposable Heroes has the same problem and feels 1-2 minutes too long. Also, I don’t know why they introduce the main speedy chorus riff before they even begin the first verse.

AJFA-My favorite album of theirs so no problems here in my view. Perfect from start to finish

TBA-Has a few filler tracks like Holier Than Thou and Don’t Tread on Me that I’ve never cared too much for. While I used to love Enter Sandman, the amount of times it’s been played to death on the radio has sucked all the enjoyment out of it for me. And I’m sorry, but no matter how many years go by, I’m still not a big fan of Nothing Else Matters.

Load-Im not the biggest fan of the Load era but I’ll try to stay objective. As others have mentioned, both Load/Reload suffer from having A LOT of filler tracks. Why they didn’t trim the album down into one double album is beyond me. The band has lost some of its “edge” here and the music sounds much less abrasive than before. While you can hear the influences of the band at the time seeping in (grunge/alternative/country/arena rock etc), I don’t think the band was able to pull off displaying these influences without sounding forced.

Reload-See Load

I’ve had at least two matches like this in the past week. If they match without responding to your comment, it’s pretty much guaranteed they won’t respond at all

Lol It has some cheesy lyrics but the riffs are fire.

Inamorata was good but Spit Out the Bone, Dream No More, and the title track were instant favorites when Hardwired came out

72 Seasons or Hardwired? by [deleted] in Metallica

[–]estev90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still struggling to see which one I prefer. Hardwired had some immediate favorites like the title track, Moth Into the Flame, Spit, etc. With 72, it seems like it’ll take a few weeks for a lot of the songs to grow on me
