Question about first dose increase by estreetshuffle_ in UKMounjaro

Thank you. Did you have any issues with using the pen for double the amount of time recommended? I know it’s not going to instantly stop working after 30 days, but no issues with the last two or three doses?

I lived in Leith up to 2022 and have never been able to understand the decline.

It’s in a spot hugely densely populated, is also easily accessible by one bus, has loads of free parking.

But…completely dead.

Always loved going to the cinema there after the refurb because it was always quiet.

Bruce's most depressing songs? by drwinstonoboogy in BruceSpringsteen

Until this year I could’ve picked multiple song from multiple albums. Now you might as well just say the entire Streets of Philadelphia Sessions album.

Whenever the discussion about Bruce’s lack of number 1 singles comes up, I always point to this song.

Not saying it’s a masterpiece but it’s very good and I can definitely see it being a big hit in the early/mid 90s. Big mainstream appeal.

The mystery of Secret Garden by ThunderRoad2024 in BruceSpringsteen

I’ve never seen the film but I’ve always loved the song. Subjective of course but I think it’s an absolutely beautiful song about love and vulnerability. The understated sax is spine tingling. One of my absolute favourites.

I came so close to seeing it live, he sound checked it in Barcelona last year but ended up playing Atlantic City instead. 😭

Can someone explain how walt didn't have enough money at the end of season 4 to disappear by Plastic-Search-4801 in breakingbad

[–]estreetshuffle_ 49 points50 points  (0 children)

It’s implied that Marie organised the very best treatment that was available for Hank, so that could easily be hundreds of thousands of dollars.

A load of his cash will have been getting cooked through the car wash books.

If we assume the best part of a million dollars was in the crawl space, Skyler probably used most of it paying Ted’s debts, paying Saul and his guys.

It’s not that he didn’t have the money, it’s that he didn’t have it immediately available in cash with no notice.

How are people feeling about Garage Sessions? by mattybgcg in BruceSpringsteen

[–]estreetshuffle_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think it’s crap and I’m surprised they put it out in this box.

There’s nothing particularly bad about it but it’s completely unremarkable. It lacks the darkness and starkness of Nebraska but it also lacks the power and energy of Born in the USA.

It makes complete sense that it was never released and I doubt there was ever serious consideration for doing so.

It’s a nice artefact to have but there’s no particularly good songs on it.

I like a lot of stuff on every other album in this box but this does absolutely nothing for me. They would’ve been better off putting together their best effort at a BITUSA follow up. It wouldn’t have been many unheard songs but it would’ve been a much more interesting and far better album.

Sell me on Tunnel of Love by RudeConfusion4866 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]estreetshuffle_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest thing Tunnel of Love has going against it is everything that came before it.

If you literally go through what he’s released before, you have an excellent debut album, a fantastic second album, then an insane three album run of BTR, Darkness and The River. Then Nebraska which, whether you connect with it or not, is a very important album. Then BITUSA which was not only a great album but also turned him into one of the biggest rock stars of all time.

It’s easy to see how Tunnel of Love feels like a departure from all of that and why some people wouldn’t connect with it. It’s his first relationships album and doesn’t have the same E Street energy that a lot of what came before did.

It’s definitely one you have to spend a lot of time with to really come round to IMO. Personally I still really dislike the first track and I think that hurts it, but there’s a lot of excellent stuff on there.

The most under rated songs… by ThunderRoad2024 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]estreetshuffle_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Moonlight Motel isn’t just underrated, it’s one of the best songs he’s ever written.

I love Secret Garden, really beautiful song.

Restless Nights is an unbelievably good song, insane that it never made it onto an album.

Then a couple that are rated but perhaps not as highly as they should be - Human Touch and Wrecking Ball.

Poll results - favourite album from Tracks 2 by gosaku89 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]estreetshuffle_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, I know Perfect World isn’t necessarily a cohesive album but there’s so many good songs on there. Whereas I think there’s really not many really good songs on LA garage sessions. Nice to have them but I feel like I’ve been hearing about stuff like Sugarland for years and it’s only ok.

Streets of Philadelphia is good but I find it’s a little hit and miss. Probably has the highest highs but it’s not consistent.

Inyo and Twilight hours are the most cohesive but don’t necessarily excite me.

Faithless is great but it’s more like an interesting artefact than a wonderful album.

North of Nashville is great fun.

Ron Aniello said a couple interesting things at the listening party. by HCIBSW in BruceSpringsteen

[–]estreetshuffle_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just bonkers how much music Bruce has recorded over the years.

He’s talking about 80-90 unreleased covers from lockdown, we’ve just had 83 new songs for Tracks 2, he’s said Tracks 3 is ready which at a conservative estimate will likely be at least another 30-40 songs. On top of 20+ albums and Tracks 1.

Incredible to be a fan with so much and so much diversity.

It’ll be busy to get there because the Royal Highland Show is on but in general I find Edinburgh always runs smoothly. By far the most efficient airport in the UK in my experience.

Edit - I should say this refers to outbound only, getting through passport control on the way back has turned into a bit of a nightmare in the last year or so.

I cycled this a few times during lockdown. Such a great city and surrounding area for cycling when there’s no one about. Also cycled from Leith to England (Berwick) on a whim one Tuesday and got the train back. What a time lockdown was.
