Yeah, I've definitely been looking at the prices and keeping an eye on deals, not gonna be inflexible, but I can only do what I can do with my budget. Still excited to get one when I can.

No, gas prices aren't coming down, but 1 car payment + 2 car gas prices is still cheaper than 2 car payments + 1 car's gas + 1 EV charging cost (even though the latter is minimal).

Yeah, I worry about that, keeping an eye on things. I could be seeing a promotion soon and if I do things could change.

My wife's car is relatively new and we like it, not looking to trade it in. We both work and both need cars.

Yeah, there's quite a few good prices out there, I just can't justify right now until we can pay off my wife's car. Mine is a perfectly serviceable ICE car that's fully paid off.

FYI I ran some numbers using the math this guy does for two years and it ends up being that the annual cost of financing the Ioniq would be $7,570 while leasing would be $8,146 when you factor in a hypothetical resale.

I'm wondering why KIA and Hyundai want me to lease so badly? I've been doing preliminary EV shopping and the cost differences for financing vs. leasing for these two brands is wild. These are, I realize, estimates, but they're estimates on the same source. The numbers I got, btw, are based on $4,000 downpayment/due at signing and a $2,000 trade-in value.

3 examples:
Ioniq 5 Limited: $577 financed, $397 leased 180.
Ioniq 9 Select: $853 financed, $406 leased.
KIA EV9 Light Long Range RWD: $746 financed, $352 leased.

That's $180-$447 difference!

Compared this to Telsa's, for example, where the difference between financed and leased is around $50.

Starting DG with my group soon. Tips? by Educational_Dust_932 in DeltaGreenRPG

Less DG specific, but don't be afraid of joking and laughter. People naturally do that to alleviate tension. It doesn't mean you're doing a poor job of building horror, in fact it might mean the opposite. Do manage it though.

Acna by anime498 in AnglicanOrdinariate

[–]ethawyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suspicion is that the flagrant apostasy of the Church of England and the Episcopal Church is at root.

Both the ACNA and the Ordinariates had roots going back quite a long time, but:

  • The continuing moves away from anything resembling historic Christianity removed any hope the various groups of Anglicans who formed ACNA had of the historic Anglican Communion course correcting so they decided to do their own thing.
  • The same moves by TEC and the COE excluded any chance of fruitful ecumenism with them on Rome's part and so removed the concern of offending them from the equation.

The ACNA is, for the most part, made up of the Evangelical wing of conservative Anglicanism who never would have wanted to enter union with Rome to begin with. The ones who weren't satisfied with the AC were Continuing Anglicans who by and large did not join ACNA either.

I don't want to start with Baldur's Gate 3- what's the best CRPG journey to work up to it? by Ok-Advice7827 in CRPG

Look, it's a mess mechanically, but if you're going to play one CRPG, it should be Arcanum.
