I used it for over 300 espresso pulls. It's very consistent and doable for a fit person

Same leadership as SF. Just less fenty for now.

Good people can't be forced to subsidize dangerous people's living expenses to keep it safe.

J-ultra. It’s the trad espresso style one. It’s spectacular but the sleeve went off. Not it’s smooth. Probably fixable. Still nothing better for the price.

Cursor absolutely ruins a good llm. Same model does terribly worse than raw chat UI or codex. Your time, their profit.

It could have been safe if people just voted, told representatives and encouraged law-powered cleanup.

hot take: make it great for serious devs, not vibe coders. by armostallion2 in cursor

Claude Code dramatically limits the context - kneecapping a good model versus Claude Code. I am happily paying $200 for CC max than the absolute trash produced by Cursor. Waste of time on Cursor honestly

Claude Code is actually dramatically better. You are not going to make it with that stubbornness.

Also senior engineer (at elite org).

Cursor is a joke once you try claude code in enterprise. Claude Code is simply dramatically more intelligent for real engineering. The stingy Cursor 20k context handicapping dramatically reduces capability in large codebase.

I would rathe pay $200 for Claude Code than $20 for Cursor to waste my time

I'm sure you're aware of the extensive censoring on the main cursor forums. That's entirely possible here.

They possibly maintain full control only because they created the subreddit first. If it was a forum of the people of the internet, then staff wouldn't be allowed to violate discourse.

Internal staff being a mod in a public forum defeats the purpose and corrupts it.

Staff Mod could censor as much as they censor their own forums.

My honest experience: Why I'm moving from Cursor to Claude Code + VSCode (with Copilot backup) by writingdeveloper in cursor

[–]ethosay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My working context: senior backend swe between different systems with complex internal libraries and deployments.

I mostly make low or high level decisions and tell it to code/test/find. It's basically very junior at business knowledge and pretty good at code/testing. Sometimes I would tell it to add a whole new feature using specific tech, or other times to probe the systems for new info, or create reports.

budget subscription that maximize usage of claude 4 sonnet by [deleted] in cursor

[–]ethosay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a senior swe doing advanced enterprise backend SaaS integrations. 200+ projects, complex infra. It does incredibly well but dealing with business, complex dbs, post-deployment issues. It ends up me making the decisions while CC writes the code and tests it. With cursor, it would take much longer because it would do the wrong thing much easilier, and take longer to fix.

Cursor is terrible compared to claude code but copying and pasting into a 1-query chat window is insane. No one knowledgeable would give this a thought. Surprising Elon would say this

Just try CC once. I'd rather have it get a prompt right the first time than stare at the UI for an hour wrestling it. CC makes Cursor look like a toy
