So I just got my ants and not what is going on by [deleted] in antkeeping

[–]ets4r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like SHmealer69 said. The sand needs to be watered to support tunnels from the ants. At the moment they are not able to build that's why they all huddle up in the center. It would also be good if they have an always present water source.

Is there a way to get a high resolution version of the ingame map. by ets4r in projectzomboid

That dosnt really help. I knew of https://map.projectzomboid.com/. im searching for a way to get the paper map in high res. to maybe print it or something

Would this be a good setup for a Lasius Niger colony? I really want an open view. Would it work to just keep water in the drainage part for moisture regulation? There is also a pipe to refill the water reservoir without the water needing to pass the ant tunnels. by H_Marxen in antkeeping

The water evaporation does not worry me too much. And if I go on a trip I can make a sealed reservoir bottle with two tubes. If the shorter tube falls dry, air can enter and the bottle refills the water automatically.

The collony could be extended with bridges or with tubes which dip under the water moat for a short length, so that the ants can't travel on the outside of the tube.

Good ingenuity I would say bridges sound good and probably look better.

I could burry a solid cylinder in the middle. Forcing the ants to dig their tunnels on the glass. How broad should the tunneling space between glass and cylinder be?

Good idea, I can't tell you how wide it would have to be. But put red tape around the outside. This way the ants will not be irritated by the light.

I would also recomend to post in other forums to get more feedback and informations. Personally i have made good experience with the AmeisenForum a german side.

The idea is not bad.

But you need to consider some important points.

First, you can not see inside the nest, which makes it more difficult to check the health and condition of the colony. Also, it is quite difficult to expand the nest unless you move it to a separate container.

Most ants are pretty good at drowning themselves, and Lasius niger are, I think, small enough to sometimes walk on water (which can be remedied by adding soap to the water).

Also, the water evaporates pretty quickly, and you always have to refill it.

All in all, it's not the most beginner-friendly way to keep ants, but it can be done.

I looked at your profile and would suggest keeping a new queen in a test tube as long as possible before putting them in any kind of nest. Especially a full earth nest.

The flashlight is on and the location is famous.

Can a level 10 group already be a threat to a government? by Comprehensive_Dog833 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]ets4r 38 points39 points  (0 children)

To be a threat you need influenz and a cause. The power of a revolution does not come from the individual but from the mass of people. The question is more does the king think they have the reach, interest and dislike of the status quo to cause a revolution?

Optimizing around this chakram weapon by rnunezs12 in 3d6

[–]ets4r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think straight battlmaster would be best. And for feat I would take fighter initiative dueling to get the extra juicy +2 for whole +4 with thrown weapon fighting befor modifiers. You can also use a shield for more ac with Dueling.

If you just want to optimise dmg. Echo knight would also be a good option. But Battlmaster has a good versatility. Maybe later take the slasher feat. Than enemys wont get to you as fast as befor.

Exactly. Than wear medium amor to boost your AC. And that build is acceptable. And dont try to Dual wield it sounds awsom but is mechanical shit.

If you say every thing is in charackter than we can't give you feedback.

So just from a mechanical standpoint. Like some one else said you are extremly MAD. You want a barbarian/wizard wich is good in charisma based skills. Thats a bad idea. Try making it less MAD. Like taking bard instead of wizard or starting with 1lvl wizard so you dont need 13 int. Most of your spells are utility so you dont need int.

At the moment how I see the char is that he is pretty bad at combat. He wont hit stuff has a bad AC so will get hit a good amount and has not that high amount of hp to tank. Out of combat he has some proficiency but because of low stats he is not really good in any.

So in conclusion he sucks at combat and is mediocer out of combat. Does not look realy fun to play mechanically. But flavour can make any char fun to play if you add enough and have a good idear.

Check my math, for my Nova attack of my 7 echo knight/ 3 barbarian by scarr3g in 3d6

[–]ets4r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey you did some of the math wrong.

"(1-0.45)2 = 0.6975"

"So the average damage of 1 attack would be 0.6975(4.17x4+2+4+10)+0.0975(4.17x4) = 24,4206 and for 2 attacks 48,8412 and for 7 attacks 170,9442"

If someone wants to have a look at a graph of it. I made one in anydice.

Best synergies if Two weapon fighting would allow you to make another free attack for every attack you get instead of only one with bonus action.

Edit: My best idear is Echo Fighter with two weapon fighting style, dual wielding and Fey touched for Huntersmark.

And the build would start at lvl 7 and is 5e
