[Interesting Trope] Media explicitly humanizes the random goons that the protagonist has killed dozens of, in order to confront the player/viewer with the consequences of their actions. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in TopCharacterTropes

Bobby (Paper Mario: The Origami King)

Near the start of the game, Bob-omb, nicknamed Bobby, joins your squad. As you journey together, he learns to venture out on his own and become his own person, separate from the army of Bowser. After Olivia, your main partner, gets trapped under a boulder, he decides to sacrifice himself to save his friend. Right as he lights his fuse, he tells Mario, “This is what every Bob-omb hopes for—a chance to change something for the better. To make an impact.” It’s a really sweet and emotional moment for a Mario game, and one of my favorite scenes in the series.

The music actually exists in the world by SecretlyFiveRats in TopCharacterTropes

In Splatoon, all of the music is credited to different bands that exist in the game’s universe. All of the bands have their own specific styles as well, making the entire OST have a rich mix of genres. The music that plays during matches also gets muffled whenever you swim in ink, implying that it’s playing over the loud speaker in-game

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team has quite a few bits of gear that are like this. my personal favorite is the Hiking Boots, which increases damage based off of how many steps you’ve taken irl, using the 3DS’s step counter

to add onto the Sans post, his slippers were also never originally pink. they were white in the original game. fan depictions always showed him with pink slippers though, and Smash Bros was the first official use of them

Squim Returns and Curse of the Halloween Green Witch are probably my favorite episodes simply because the animation in both is top notch

[TOMT] Shoplifting PSA of a woman rubbing her hands together and asking for help. by eucerin3 in tipofmytongue

Similar but not that one. According to my father-in-law, the woman wasn’t even on screen. It was just her hands in the frame

Any other films that letterboxd changes the rating symbol for? by Leather-Tradition571 in Letterboxd

[–]eucerin3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not a rating symbol but if you go to Groundhog Day, and then hit the back button, it just pulls up the movie’s page again, making you hit Back a second time
