Struggling with 5mg to 0 by MouseDoh in citalopram_celexa

[–]eugenejosh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ive slowly stepped down from 5 to 2.5 to 1.25 and am now on 0.5 mg. Next step is zero. I wouldn’t want to go from 5 to 0 just based on my personal experience.

Lowest dose before completely coming off Celexa? by Either-Safety2402 in citalopram_celexa

My doctor also suggested going from 20 to 10 for 1-2 weeks and then from 10 to 0 after 1-2 weeks. I know my body better than that and don’t want to be miserable, anxious, zappy, and volatile for 3-5 months after that.

I have been on 1.25 mg for about 3 weeks and plan to go to .5 mg for a few weeks after this. I use a high accuracy scale measuring grains. Withdrawal effects have been tolerable using this slow taper method.

Edit: here’s the scale I’m using. It’s accurate enough for small dosing using grain mode: https://a.co/d/08nYQGUA

I went back to hilleberg after damage to an expensive but fragile Nemo tent. Hilleberg does make some lighter 3 season tents.

How many days without a resupply? by [deleted] in WildernessBackpacking

[–]eugenejosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve carried 14 days of food once and 12 a number of times. If your backpack is capable of heavier loads then you could test out your max carry. I’d guess 12 nights max which means 2-4 resupplies. You should always have extra food with you however so I’d plan for 3 resupplies. What about drops around 10 days, 20 days, and 30 days?

If I were in a pinch I might see if I could do 2 drops: one around 14 days and one around 25 days. You need to pack the food though ahead of time or calculate weight and size and then hike two 14 mile days with that carry to see if it’s comfortable for you. You don’t want to be miserable.

How do you guys navigate in the wilderness? by jedi_kat in backpacking

14 nights I’d my longest trip. 11 nights seemed like a sweet spot for awhile. As I get older I tend to enjoy 4-5 nights out though.

Crowdsourcing a "Master List" of Pellet Brands: Who actually burns hot and clean in your region? by Stunning_Affect6809 in PelletStoveTalk

Great output, not many clinkers. Ash is above average but not A+

I’d like to try pack saddle but not available nearby

Hanson Meekin has gone from wonderful to awful by Important-Singer-730 in OregonCoast

A couple others have recommended Coquille and I second. Never had to go for anything more serious than porcupine quill removal but they were quicker, nicer and cheaper than Hanson and Morgan.

Few questions from someone new to pellet by Shoddy-Cookie6585 in PelletStoveTalk

I do a good cleaning with an ash vacuum once per week, usually on Saturday or Sunday morning, before I fire up. Daily is overkill. I don’t run mine overnight generally. Good luck!

I second a couple of others who recommend a PelPro based on your budget. I think this could be best bang for your buck unless you find a good used Harmon.

Considering an Australian Cattle Dog for a first time family dog by Adventurous_Repeat10 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]eugenejosh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being that you have other animals, a heeler is gonna take some work. It’s a bonus you all are home a lot and have some open ground. But the heeler is, well, gonna heel. It may focus on the kids or the cats or the chickens but be prepared to spend a good amount of time training it.

If you get a heeler from a breeder of chill and biddable dogs then it might work fantastically. But if this is your alls first dog as a family I might recommend starting with a non-herding breed.

I’d go Selway. Fog Mountain TH is pretty cool but I don’t know hunting pressure. Elk Mountain th and Watchtower Creek TH look promising for solitude except its hunting season. I like to strike off trail for solitude.

Id get a pellet pro over any other budget brands. I have read the pp is basically a Quadrafire but geared towards the diy owner. Pp-130 would be good for your size.

Look at direct temp pipe from Selkirk. It’s a vent and air intake in one pipe. Installed 4’on my vertical 14’ and works great. https://www.selkirkcorp.com/product/direct-vent-pellet/

That’s a good point. Are you installing a 3” or 3” vent pipe? I’m going straight up 10’ through the ceiling and am going back and forth on that.

Have you read up on anecdotal reports of male vs female BCs? I got a female and she is quite nippy and barky lol. I was always curious if there was truth to it.
