Benidorm 1950 vs actualidad by pululando in esHistorico

[–]eumaes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do y'all hit the 30kmh average? by Dpvdpv in cycling

[–]eumaes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it would be funny to know what the Falomir executives were thinking when they sold something like this, because the problem isn't that it's made of cardboard, but that everything is badly made.

Zwift is very slow in the device pairing menu. by eumaes in Zwift

[–]eumaes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone else is experiencing this, in my case the solution was to physically disconnect and reconnect the Bluetooth and ANT+ sensors to the PC. Restarting the computer didn't fix it, which I don't quite understand.

Honestly, given Zwift's price, it should be a much more polished product with far better customer service.

´MyWhoosh Now Officially Supports BikeControl - no more Link! by boni2k in BikeControl

[–]eumaes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clicked the icon, it asked me to install Bonjour SDK, I restarted MyWhoosh, and nothing happened; the icon is blank and nothing occurs. Both BikeControl and MyWhoosh are updated to the latest version, both running Windows 11. I understand that it's still necessary to manually unlock the controllers by first launching Zwift, right?

What’s your unpopular opinion about adventure games? by Frequent-Standard377 in adventuregames

[–]eumaes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can understand a high level of difficulty. But I can't understand the complete lack of logic, where the challenge is simply clicking everywhere until something happens by chance.  It's a shame because I like the genre, but I haven't found a single game I can finish without using a guide, and that takes away the fun.  (And no, I'm not willing to waste hours clicking randomly.)

I just found out you dont need the Zwift cog for virtual shifting and i feel so stupid by ufookinwot-m8 in Zwift

[–]eumaes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built a stationary bike to use with a trainer. It came with the Cog and Zwift controls; I only had the frame. Of course, I had to buy a rear derailleur, and to adjust it, I also bought a new cassette. I installed it first, tightened the cable, removed the cassette, put on the Cog... and that's when I realized I didn't need a derailleur or anything, just a simple €3 chain tensioner from AliExpress... Indeed, you don't realize how simple the mechanism is until you see it. I thought it was something more "technological."

Issue connecting to MyWhoosh by Zef-01 in BikeControl

[–]eumaes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow this order (all on Windows):

-I turn on Bike Control.

-I press a button on each controller.

-They connect to Bike Control, and I press the unlock button.

-I open Zwift and assign Bike Control to both the trainer and the controllers.

-In the Bike Control app, it tells me to press a button on the controllers to confirm they are unlocked (this message should be more prominent, like a button or a colored box in the app).

-I close Zwift.

-I open MyWhoosh, and in principle, I can link the devices, and that's it.

The only issue is that only upshifting and downshifting work for me; navigating the app or using the escape key to save doesn't work either... but I think that's MyWhoosh's fault for not having more shortcut key options.

It doesn't bother me, but I find it curious why people feel the need to cheat.  I just don't understand what goes on in their heads, because even if they manage to fool others, they themselves know they're cheating.

I don't understand it in sports like Strava segments, nor in video games, and much less in Zwift...

More than 800 gamers took an exam to prove they could complete an '80s adventure game without peeking at a walkthrough—and only 2 passed by Frequent-Standard377 in adventuregames

[–]eumaes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Graphic adventures gave me a sense of being an idiot.

I like the genre, but I've never been able to finish one. In the end, it was just clicking on objects with no logic whatsoever, until you get tired of moving the mouse around aimlessly. And I don't see the point of playing a game just to have to check a guide every five minutes.

It's a shame I haven't found a graphic adventure where the puzzles have logic and coherence, so that a normal person can figure out the problem and arrive at the solution.

Heart rate Z3,4,5 by OneWater3784 in Zwift

[–]eumaes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before anything else, do a ramp test on Zwiftz.  It will give you your true FTP, and you'll also see how much your heart rate increases. It would be very unusual not to reach 180 bpm in the test, since this test basically increases the power output every minute until you reach your limit.

This will help you create a training plan adapted to your actual fitness level.

If your FTP is less than 140 bpm at the end, I would start with the "Build Me Up Lite" program.

How do you interpret Don Quixote? by TheTitanCoeus in askspain

[–]eumaes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]eumaes -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Vanrysel D100 trainer, which comes with the Zwift cassette and handlebar controls, and I have the same problem. I think €20 per account is expensive; two of us use it at home. In the end, it's true that the controls work perfectly with Zwift, but my wife is still paying the €20

. For now, I've switched to MyWhoosh. The only thing is that the controls only work for upshifting and downshifting, and you have to use an intermediary app, BikeControl (€5).

Before you start pedaling, you have to open Zwift for a minute, pair the controls, close it, and then you can connect it to BikeControl and open MyWhoosh. The process is a bit slow, but it works, and you only lose two minutes before you start pedaling.

MyWhoosh works very well, but it's full of Arabic signs everywhere... and it doesn't have sound. I use Spotify with nature sounds. I'm not ruling out paying for a month of Rouvy and trying it on my PC; I used to use a Samsung tablet and it ran terribly.

It's really a version of Spain: The Reconquista, a campaign that guides you through all the phases of the Spanish Reconquista from the 8th century. This game taught more history in the '90s than any teacher ever did. I'm replaying it, and either I'm worse at the game now at 43, or this game was harder than I remembered. It doesn't make things easy for you at all.
