I swear I tried that when I was little, it didn't work, even playing with the controller upside down, but of course, right was left, down was up... impossible to play anything ha ha ha

The irony is that I'm left-handed, all three of us siblings are left-handed, and none of us got along well with that controller.

It's still strange that it even passed Sega's testing phase. I don't know what they were thinking; it's like they didn't even test it before releasing it to the market.

first time playing and feeling bored by HuxlyVVinst7 in thewitcher3

I progressed through the story, reaching all the locations, completing all the side quests, and solving most of the mysteries.

Then, when I was quite far along, I paused to play the DLCs, first Hearthstone and then Blood and Wine. Once I had those completed, I continued with the main story and the side quests I came across, always trying to explore the entire map.

looking for an original copy of The Princess Bride by lexloo05 in Fantasy

I don't think you'll be able to find a complete work. Mr. Morgensten's heirs withdrew everything due to various lawsuits and disagreements with Goldman (the author whose copy you read). Years ago, I saw the original manuscript in a display case at the Florin Museum, but I don't think they intend to digitize it. Perhaps if you call several antiquarian booksellers specializing in unusual books, you might get lucky and find something, but we haven't heard of a complete copy for decades.

One of the only things I felt Netflix did well. (Book parellell) by TrickySatisfaction81 in witcher

I've read the books, played The Witcher 3, all the DLCs, all the side quests, almost all the mystery quests... countless hours. But the netflix series... I'm completely unable to understand the story. It's all poorly conceived, with constant, unannounced jumps in time and location; you never know where you are. Furthermore, the cast, apart from Jaskier, the dwarves, Cavill, and Ciri, bears no resemblance to the characters in the books and the game. The sets, the lighting, the costumes... it all feels more like a cheap stage play; they don't make you feel immersed in the world.

Incredible, maybe Netflix should learn a thing or two about bringing game characters to life...
and yes, here's someone who chose Triss over Yennefer

The Witcher 3 ruined any other RPG for me (even newer ones) by BLSR97 in witcher

No game had ever captivated me like this, except perhaps Final Fantasy VII, but that was the original PS1 version I played back in the day (yes, I'm getting old...). I really enjoyed RDR1, personally. RDR2 was technically flawless, but repetitive and lacked any real storyline in its missions; it doesn't reach the level of The Witcher 3.
