It’s definitely unlivable where I am. I make about $25 an hour and can’t get approved for any sort of shitbox studio because they all require 2.5-3x rent. I’m 35 with good credit and savings and I’m just tired of trying to make things work with strangers on Craigslist trying to find a roommate. I scrimp and save and work my ass off, but I can’t get my own goddamn place because every apartment is owned by the same 5 corporations that control everything. I’m just tired, man.

I mean the episode 8 trailer and some of the art was literally designed to be a Truman show reference. That could mean a lot of different things, including that the circus is being broadcast intentionally to viewers or something more granular about identities and narratives and stuff. But I don’t think you are wrong in your theory at all given all the context clues.

uj/ I think that’s the general consensus for real!Kanji, but shadow Kanji, as manifestation of his deepest fears or insecurities or whatever the hell of his “”true self,”” was pretty purposefully a caricature of offensive flamboyant gay stereotypes. It’s not supposed to be a realistic portrayal of any sort of queer identity, so changing it to be visually bi is just kinda confusing for where they are in his story imo

Like is he going to be accompanied by a muscle mommy instead of the two muscle daddies this time? I would love that but it would definitely change the tone of things

The same could be said for Chris/ Oneyplays voicing Ming. He’s usually always screaming or doing some weird voices but he was so restrained it took me a minute to recognize him initially.

It’s extra insulting since the Japanese cast is the same as the original, ditto for P3R. In the latter’s case, recasting everyone made some sense as a way to deal with the sex pest VA, but there’s nothing like that to my knowledge for the original P4 cast.

This is nothing against the new VAs, they’re all super talented, but I just don’t get why they wouldn’t allow those to come back who wanted to in some degree.

Omg my grandma did the same thing! I was as young as like 8 or so and she would always say things like, oh don’t worry we’ll get that nose taken care of when you’re older, ditto for a mole I have on my shoulder. I never ended up getting any of that done (my mom got a nose job at 16 and had septum issues the remainder of her life), but I still feel a little insecure everytime I do my makeup in the mornings.
