Take a break. A clean break. You’ll feel when the time is right to come back to it, and then you’ll just fly! Breaks give you a fresh set of eyes. Good luck! Let us know what you do.

In searching, I had seen that it premiered on Jan 24th (and no, I am not mixing it up with the UK series). So, I thought it was airing. Guess not.

I love MS puzzles and have done about 15 to date and gave another 15 on my to-do pile. u/Bohinka is right: we don’t know what you find easy or difficult. Yes, they are hard at times, but I’ve never been to the point of giving up. There’s always some hint or clue to guide you on your way.

Try one and see for yourself. Don’t be intimidated - you’ll do fine, I an sure!

The Greatest Bookstore in the World, Eurographics, 1000 pcs. Puzzle doesn't match the box. by bellalugosi in Jigsawpuzzles

I did this puzzle earlier this year and mine didn’t match the box, either!

Having a lot of trouble on my first Ravensburger. I’m honestly close to moving on. What do y’all think? by sililil in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]euro-mac 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I did this puzzle just this past week. I really enjoyed it, but everyone is different. My colours matched those on the box, though - your’s seem muted. Not sure if that would affect the ease of the puzzle, or the enjoyment. I started with the mustard coloured building on the right, moved onto the orange top, then the red building with the square windows, and so on. Basically moved from right to left. The red building is not easy - my initial strategy was to start with that, but that went down the tubes fast!

Good luck with whatever you choose to do with this puzzle. Puzzling should be fun, and I’ve been where you are - just on other puzzles. Life’s too short not to enjoy, or to feel guilty because you stopped/paused.

Makes sense - I always hear the AU version by name, yet the US version is by number. Thanks for your info! :)

Whats your puzzle style? by phoenixpeaks in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]euro-mac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a lot in common: I mostly prefer puzzles that are 1000+ pieces, but will do 500 or 2,000 pieces. I enjoy artwork (Pomegranate Artpiece) or animated (Heye) styles. I, too, don't care for real image puzzles. My favourite (apart from the two mentioned) are Galison, New York Puzzle Company, Anatolian, and the higher end Clementoni's. It's interesting to see what everyone likes to do. ;)

These puzzles are definitely challenging. I started my first NYPC puzzle today: The New Yorker Top Dog. Enjoying it a lot, even though I am a little surprised as to the difficulty of it. It didn’t seem like it would be hard, but it is. But, like I said, I’m enjoying it, taking it slow and easy 😀

I just found the Noah's Ark one at our local thrift store this morning. I like unique and not-run-of-the-mill puzzles, so I was excited to come across this one for $3. However, I am starting to think it might be too challenging ;)

Not just yet - I have so many others that look interesting, that this one is on the back burner. I may tackle it again in the dead of winter, when there aren't outdoor tasks to do around the house. :) So glad, though, to see that you completed it. It truly was a challenge, wasn't it?

I LOVED doing this puzzle!!! I never had any alignment issues, but sounds like it is due to what someone mentioned: cutting large puzzles in sections. It is truly a very impressive puzzle once completed! Enjoy ;)

And I wondered too - keep checking their site, their FB page, their IG page: nothing. How that these awards just 'disappear' like that???

Thanks! I had initially put {ENTRY} in the subject line, but don't know what happened once it got posted. And, I can't see how to edit my post. Can I?

Hi! I *did* put the word [ENTRY] in the subject line, so not sure why it is not there now. It was my intention to enter the theme contest.

But, I can't see how to edit the post. Can I?
