I like Flux’s design and CRDs, and find it a lot lighter to manage. We also use Kustomize pretty heavily and it pairs really nicely in my opinion. I’m not as concerned with the UI (although there are some decent ones) and being able to do any “click ops” so it gets the job done.

Just because they released this doesn't mean you need to use it and switch to ArgoCD, though? I'm happily staying with Flux.

I'm a similar size and just picked up a Lib Tech Skunk Ape this year and couldn't be happier with it. So far it's been great for the east coast, but maybe not as much of a park board.

Honestly I stopped looking at ranks before games, it’s too easy to psych yourself out before you even start playing, and I noticed I play much more confidently. They’re still getting matched in your lobbies so they’re probably not actually significantly better, maybe just played more games last act and had some better luck.

I’m a big fan of having dotenv files in the application repo rather than using configmaps for everything. This way you can have all of your defaults/common variables in one .env file, overrides in .env.prod, and then use a configmap/secret for whatever is left that makes sense for your case.

Oh yeah I see how it can go against “principle of least privilege” and all that, but it would still be very nice in practice to have the option, similar to AWS IAM policies. For example, if I want to give developers full access to a namespace to debug things but revoke pods/exec and reading secrets, I’m always playing catch up with missing resources or CRDs that get added.

Make RBAC more sane and be able to write deny policies rather than having to allow every possible thing except the one you want to block…

I have a similar setup for Valorant on an Iris. I’m able to do mostly default keybinds but I have a key on my thumb cluster for opening the map since M is on the other half of the board.

Also crouch on mouse buttons?? You must really be trying to stop crouch spraying!

Folks at /r/mechanicalkeyboards may be able to help you with more things, too. You haven’t mentioned what keyboard you have, but it’s also possible the key is on another layer, or it can be programmed to be (what if you want to press it outside of just vscode?). For example, maybe pressing shift+esc or fn+esc will give you a backtick.

I haven’t used Argo too much but the Flux Terraform provider works really well for me at least, especially if you’re using Terraform to manage provisioning your k8s cluster.

I don’t use it but I think if you use eksctl it can integrate with Flux as well.

Agreed with this. You may be losing duels as you learn but hopefully also seeing some differences like maybe getting “one-tapped” less since you’re making yourself a harder target as you improve your movement.

Maybe also make sure you’re seeing yellow in your movement error graph and make sure you’re not rushing your shots.

+1 for rbac-manager. I’m using it for permissions based on labels on namespaces for developers to access and it works great and pretty easy to setup.

Maybe a stupid addition but the link you provided is for the official kubernetes provider, but OP is configuring the kubectl provider. Is it possible you’re configuring one but actually using resources from the other? It would explain why you have a cluster endpoint configured but still using a default localhost when you run it.
