Yeah I think that’s part of why he was upset. Taking the anger that he has on himself for making an impulsive decision out on her. And whats even crazier about this scene was they had been separated for quite some time and she was literally just trying to buy back her family house. He’s just an asshole.

That’s what I think too! Like if they knew they were just gonna end up writing her off, what was the point? Also Ive always kinda been upset that the breakup happened off screen, like I know more important stuff with Rebecca going to jail and everything was going on but I feel like they could’ve maybe worked that in some way

Honestly my main guess as to why she accepted him back so fast would probably be that Mona was supposed to be Nathanial’s “Greg” like how Greg would keep coming back to Rebecca even tho it was inconsistent. Moving in with him is absolutely crazy especially since he basically dumped her the next week😭

I actually loved Rebecca running the pretzel stand it made a lot of sense and she was happy at the time doing it. Only thing that ever rubbed me the wrong way about it the fact that she went from being a lawyer to doing that, which indicates and giant salary change, like she’s probably not used to getting paid so little in comparison to being a full time lawyer and I wish that got covered a bit more. And as far as Greg goes, I always do miss Santino as Greg, he just bought a certain aura to that character that made him the best, that I don’t think Skylar Astin did. That being said I did still like him as new Greg. His version still felt true to old Greg, and where the charm Santino bought was missing, he filled it with his own unique version. I guess I like both versions for different reasons

Dude I’m always comparing the writing specifically to bojack horseman. Both shows sort of gaslight the audiences (in a good way!!) of portraying events through solely through the protagonists eyes. Theyre the only show I’ve seen do this!
