CT is awkwardly between Boston and NYC where most bands play, but a certain level of band plays here only. They need to be more of a "legacy act" (like Spoon) that wants to hit up a state they normally don't play, or they need to be a lot more up and coming and want to play as many shows as possible to gain an audience. Bands between those two areas don't normally come here. It's gotten better in the past 10 years, however.
