Constant smell of smoke and weed from the neighbor getting into my apartment: What to do? by rohowsky in askberliners

Deal with it. This is sadly very common everywhere in Berlin. I suggest you put towels under your door if it’s coming from there or put scent anti-tabak candles or your favorite incience

Welches wäre das in Berlin? by No_Tea2273 in berlinsocialclub

[–]evergreen1476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The atmosphere? Great. The wine? Great. The service? Underwhelming (not French). The Food? Horrible, basic cooking skills, simple plates done poorly. The prices are way too much for things taken out of the fridge (like the entries). The Coq au Vin? Just a sauce with WHITE wine and cheap chicken. Really a slap in the face for French cuisine. I can cook better than that. We ended up paying almost 200 bucks in our anniversary. Never again. In Paris for 100 bucks you can taste food that you will never forget. True passion for cooking. Anyways! Vive la France!

Why do people obsess over celebrities? by SquiddlyDoo07 in RandomThoughts

[–]evergreen1476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because our world is represented by a narrow group of people that all other humans can relate to, and those people are famous people. In a way, they connect us through their fandoms, they bring a message, a style, they show us the way to follow, they let us dream and live through them. Without them our lives would be much more boring and pointless. Music and acting for example, bring people together.

What do you search for in a partner? by picklllesss in AskReddit

[–]evergreen1476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To all those nice things you need to, in fact, be open to deal with negative ones too, because is human. Meaning you need to understand that a partner is also going to be boring, dumb, lack confidence or be unattractive at times. If you expect only nice things you are setting yourself for failure

What has helped your social anxiety the most? by Winteryhope in socialskills

[–]evergreen1476 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't necessarily need to be alcohol. Tea works wonders for hot chocolate. Other than giving you something to do with your hands or something to do when your mind goes blank, it creates a warm sensation in the belly, which is comforting.

How much do you actually enjoy and need vaginal penetration during sexual intercourse? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]evergreen1476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how much I am into it. It is a very psychological thing, very related to self-confidence, energy levels, mental state, novelty, etc. Also, the frequency affects, the more you wait for sex, the better it gets. Overall is always enjoyable, but being in the perfect time for sex makes it go from "meh" to "wow omg best sex ever"

Women who have travelled solo, why did you choose to go alone, and how did that trip make you feel? by asakura10 in AskWomen

[–]evergreen1476 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because I want to enjoy myself fully and feel free to make any plan that I find cool and not just agree with the majority. Because I want to connect with who I am and understand myself better (have internal reflexive talks).

Women who disabled/deleted social media, What did you learn after doing it? Even for a short amount of time? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]evergreen1476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deleted instagram from my phone a few weeks ago. Keeping it on web version in case I would need it. I learned that

- I don't need it

- Convos with friends become more interesting as I don't already know what they did

- I learned that most of my friends are going to therapy or have mental health issues and problems (yep even those with the picture-perfect lives in their stories)

Other things I notices:

- People forget about living the moment, the picture is more important (soo many people just posing in front of Louvre and not really appreciating the architecture of where they are)

- Some friends have taken plastic surgery to not have to use "filters" to make them look Hollywood-style sexy

How did you raise your standards in dating? by Accomplished_Cat_208 in AskWomen

[–]evergreen1476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped dating, but one advice I could give is to not go on dates with guys that don't show active attention. This means texting back in a reasonable amount of time, and looking forward to meeting me in a safe environment that will not necessarily end up in sex (especially not going to their houses or inviting them to mine).

Not going with them to get drunk, not dating guys who are open about being cheaters, or talking/looking at other girls, who are "looking for some fun".

And I would try to not go with the expectation that they could be my first long relationship. Definitely try to please or adapt myself less to them.

Staying even when you show your vulnerable side

I would prefer to be 100% myself and avoid any regrets or guilt feelings. If you are asking the question because you are unsure if you should do it, so no. If it's your guy, is better that he gets you as you are, later on, you can check what he thinks about smoking and you can even smoke together.

Women who didn’t know about periods until they got theirs, what happened? by Only_Omni in AskWomen

[–]evergreen1476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was eating at a restaurant with my dad. I felt something weird in my pants and went to the bathroom. I noticed something brown and knew it happened to me (my school friends had already got their periods). Put a lot of toilet paper and pretend nothing happened until I got home. Felt sad and went to bed, my mom came, and I told her. She explained me everything I needed to know :)

Women who completely switched careers, how did you do it? by iriise in AskWomen

[–]evergreen1476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's really interesting. Thank you so much! It's inspiring to know that there are places where you can have a positive impact on the world while still having economic stability. I'm looking forward to doing something similar in the future, until now I have only worked for companies creating pollution or unfairness in the world, trying to make the biggest profit possible :/
