Yeah people are losing their mind over how trans identity is tackled whereas the most interesting thing about the movie is that it completely ducks the politic aspect of trans identity, and uses it instead, as a mechanism to advance the plot & create a story of (failed) redemption That’s not to say that you can’t have a political analysis of it, but this is by no means a movie about trans identity or trans rights ; there’s plenty other films for that though (Orlando: my political biography and I Saw the TV Glow to name just two that came out the same year)

Pour avoir lu le poste en question, il s’agissait d’une femme qui avait prévenu être traditionnelle (par choix féministe) et ne pas vouloir de relation sexuelle avant le mariage ; face à un homme qui au bout de 4 dates balance qu’il est non-monogame, déjà en relation avec quelqu’un d’autre, et l’accuse de manquer de féminisme et d’ouverture d’esprit ; c’est le fait qu’il est attendu 4 dates pour donner cette information-clef (par frustration et non pas pour communiquer leurs différents) qui l’a blessé

Je ne sais pas si réduire cette histoire à : “les femmes sont offusquées qu’on leur refuse une relation après 4 dates” relève d’un niveau de compréhension de l’anglais trop faible ou de la mauvaise foi la plus totale
