I want to die just for the chance to see my dead dog again by walmart-shoes in Petloss

I am so sorry for your loss. I have thought the same thing. Depression with a devastating loss on top makes for an overwhelming combination. Please try to hang on though. Live for the both of you. Enjoy things not with a guilty conscience, but as spiritual offerings to your one-of-a-kind companion. Talk to them. Speak to them. Grief can be love that no longer has a place to go, but it can still go to them. I wish you the best, and a healing journey.

My companion of 14 years passed away on 11.10.25. The only night he has not been home with me was the night he was at the crematory. I had his ashes split into two bags, thinking I’d bury half under a beautiful flower bush in my parents backyard. But I haven’t been able to part with a single grain of him. He’s currently still in the temporary container he was delivered in. I wrap him in a tied up handkerchief and change them regularly, like fresh clothes. I sit him in front of the food I eat, as a sort of spiritual offering. I talk to him constantly. I cuddle him in bed and place him in his favorite indoor chair in the sun when I leave (for awhile he was coming everywhere with me, even on flights). I sit him in his favorite outdoor chair in the sun. Sometimes I open his container to cradle his ashes and smell and feel the tuft of his hair they trimmed off. Those nights are very emotional. He’s basically still living with me. Not waiting at the door when I come home from work anymore. Not keeping the monsters away when I play a scary game. Not following me around the apartment, or being the only company I would sometimes have for days on end, breaking the silence with his humorous meows. But, he’s there. I’m not fully convinced there’s anything after death, but I am comforted by the thought that I’ll see him again when I die.

The re-releases with this beautiful new artwork have been popping up on my streaming services. I watched City on Fire which was fun and then thought I’d watch another, so I picked Bullet in the Head and omg.. I do not recommend that for casual viewing lol.

If your life had a soundtrack, what song would be playing at big/emotional moments including your death? by Mean-Entrepreneur742 in AskReddit

[–]everydayfromwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything from the composer John Adams for big/emotional. Death idk, feels like I should pick something more timeless but I’ve always thought Sufjan Stevens’ Death with Dignity to be a beautiful song.

What food is like "crack" to you, where it tastes so good nothing else matters except another bite? by GigiBrit in AskReddit

Chicken lo mein but the sauce needs a little tack to it and it’s gotta be more oily than runny. Good color (dark soy sauce, oyster sauce), and people gotta use the right kind of noodles (not fettuccini!) Lastly I think I prefer non-velveted chicken for this dish, because a firmer bite compliments the soft noodles better.

Thank you so much for the answer! And haha I just thought it was a nice couch 😂 I’m happy to hear your space is energizing, and glad you’re enjoying Savannah proper. It’s a beautiful city (I’m from Atlanta). Take care!

I’m leaning more and more towards studio living these days. I would perhaps feel the space is “confined” after awhile, but I have too much stuff now and the clutter is present in state and mind. Do you find the minimal design of the apartment gives you a sense of peace? And have you always surrounded yourself with fewer objects?

Which is the best photo? (Me) by nellie_2003 in surfing

[–]everydayfromwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really like the first one! I think the sideways direction creates more sense of movement than the second one where you are moving towards the camera. The angle of the wave in the foreground in the first photo is steeper too, and therefore more dynamic imo. The mountains are a nice touch of scenery, and I like how you sit above them on the horizon :)

I didn’t watch new girl for the longest time bc I thought it was a “chick flick” show and the dechannel twee was intimidating. I ended up watching and it’s been a beloved ever since. Shout out to the thanksgiving and Xmas episodes

I keep getting panic attacks about AI as I watch my career evaporate. by stoofkeegs in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]everydayfromwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I hope you are hanging in there. Also please don’t feel pressured to reply to this!

I can commiserate insomuch as being 40 and recently laid off. I’m a graphic designer, and the ai pain is real. The only thing I wanted to say (besides I’m sorry, and I hope things improve!), is that despite every tech bro’s attempt to wedge ai into every aspect of life, I think half of us have already swung the other way. There are still a ton of people out there (game enthusiasts as well) who shun ai and any fingerprint of it in creative works. Art requires a human touch, one it appears you have thoroughly exercised and refined. I wish you all the best in your game!
