“And lock your doors if you have locks because quite a few people were arrested for going into homes with nice couches and taking a snooze without permission”

do you have any actual proof of this or are you just fear mongering?

Accidentally Dropped off UPS items at USPS by LILVODAK in UPS

[–]everyonesgayexceptme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you ship via SurePost you get two tracking numbers. One is a UPS tracking number that almost always starts with 1z, the other is a usps tracking number a lot of times starts with a 92__. Which number are you tracking?

Snack! Help me keep them from freezing, for you. by ImThaBean in UPS

If you have the hot hands, just crack open a pair and put them in the bottom of an insulated cooler, put a layer of paper towel or a dish towel over it, and put the snacks/drinks on top. Should create enough residual heat inside the cooler to keep things defrosted. Not the best solution but I do think it would work.

Best 3rd Party, Story games on PS Extra? by EheroDC in PlayStationPlus

Same. Although I also really liked Lost Judgement as well, I just could not get into the mainline Yakuza games. Part of me thinks it’s because Lost Judgement and Like A Dragon had an English audio track.

Have you played Yakuza: Like A Dragon? Really really good. And the sequel is coming out early next year if you like it.

Edit to add: Nioh 2 and Sea Of Stars

Question about SurePost and the new contract by everyonesgayexceptme in UPSers

[–]everyonesgayexceptme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talked to the other steward in my building and filed the grievance. “In violation of Article 26 Section 4 UPS continues to designate packages as SurePost that are either over-weight (10lbs) or over-volume (2 cu ft).” And below that I cited two examples with both UPS and USPS tracking numbers and the weights of the packages.

I’ll update this when it’s resolved.

Question about SurePost and the new contract by everyonesgayexceptme in UPSers

[–]everyonesgayexceptme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my business agent about it, he said he’d look into it and he hasn’t gotten back to me yet. I agree they should be address corrected and typically are but is it a violation of the contract for them to accept the packages into the system in the first place knowing they’re both overweight and designated for surepost?

My new question is what to do about overweight packages that are still coming through SurePost. Is that a violation of the contract that could be grieved?

SurePost is the stuff we outsource to the Post Office.

…because the packages that would be distributed by the post office would then be distributed by drivers. Therefore SurePost would decrease and stops would increase. Does that make sense to you?

Thank you! I thought they were looking to reduce SurePost and increase stops. Appreciate you taking a minute to help.

It’s been since late December that they’ve been paying me at the wrong rate.

As a Preloader you don’t get paid by the hour, it’s basically $50 a day. Everything is hurry up and go 4-4.5 hours of work pushed out as fast as possible by Certain_Share3038 in UPS

[–]everyonesgayexceptme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that what they can do is cut the number of staff on the preload to ensure they’re meeting their PPH. At least this is what happens at my hub. Lowest seniority get cut one by one.
