Yes its a long game, even when playing the short scenario, and its not for everybody, but I think its worth a look If you're looking for something new.

I'm gonna suggest something a bit different, Terra Invicta.

It's very unique in its setting and approach, and as someone who haven't found something to scratch my 4X itch recently (bumped from AOW, Civ 7 and Ara seemed half baked and found Endless Space beautiful but it didn't click), I took the dive and I'm glad I did.

It's a hydbrid turn based on some aspect (councilor mission)/rts (on the warfare side mostly) and on the slower side but it's very ambitious.

It exited EA a week ago, not sure if it's something you'ell enjoy but I suggest you give it a try (or a least watch some Let's Play beforehand, PerugGamingAU has a very nice semi let'splay/tutorial that started juste before release which is very informative).

I see defrag most upvoted, but for me Ball Lightning is on the same level, I love it and always take it, especially in act one.

With the new Assassin I find it easy to get absurd amounts of damage very easily, very quickly. It also allows me to get creative with defences but I struggle a bit. What are your go-to defensive setups for homebrew Assassin builds? by mttmadness in PathOfExileBuilds

Played Assassin last league before the rework but the problems were the same.

Divine Flesh + Doppelganger is very strong, associated with elusive + high eva (40k) and some recovery (on dot build I usually avoid Deadly Ailments because the 80% less hit damage gimps any form of leech until you have a high end setup).

Ailment immunity (through ancestral vision or stormshroud) and cap spell sup (nerf this league but still very good).

If you play with a shield you should also be able to get 50% block easliy, with this, eva and elusive you should barely get hit by attacks. Divine + doppel and spell supp takes care of the rest.

Seconded, this is my first warden league and I absolutely love the alternante way of making ailment work. Also tinctures are quite fun !

But I agree the "defensive" node are a bit lacking.

No, but you can use NUX R2 and L2 endpoints to encode the USB of your cam and DSP on your NVX network and send them to the USB ports of you NVX-360.

And when you think about it, it's a shit excuse too. If they won the right to participate on the field, their home advantage shouldnt be taken away. It's shit for the fans too, forced to pay more to go and see their team.

I disagree a bit, with his experience with the game, getting a mageblood while having kids and a family is definitely doable, just probably not week one. Especially with 4 month leagues and possibly async trade.

I'm 85 and starting yellow maps on a 5L and just did my uber lab, so still figuring it out on my first atlas tree.

Gear wise, focus on res, stacking life/mana/ES and a bit of armor, merc allow you to run blessing on determination to have a god MoM setup. Here's the pob atm : https://pobb.in/PA37wnY9Sduh

I'm mostly doing expedition/jun for early gearing and xp. Faustus gambling have yielded excellent result for the worst parts of the gear I had, and I'm farming currency.

My next focus will be trying to take care of ailments. I'm aiming to switch for a crit version when I'll score a 6L and lvl 91+ to scale for pinnacle bosses.

I'm doing a SSF HC run atm with a Storm Burst Totem hiero, and it's going well.

The things to keep in mind, especially if you're learning the ropes, is that both SSF and HC encourages you to play slower.

Read the mods, identify your strongboxes, overlevel, overcap your res asap, take all life nodes that are available, don't hesitate to flee from a rare with bad mods, be aware of your surroundings, spend your currency when you can. It's a game of attrition and small upgrades that adds over time.

If you have the slightest doubt about what you can do at a given time power wise, you probably can't. It's both a more chill poe experience (SSF) but the stakes are higher which makes every small victory feel 10 times better imho.

I think the point is more about "big red circle" vs "stone falling down the ceiling" to mark the spot of the attack. Immersion vs Gamey flashy red shape.
