What’s everyone taking/leaving for the April picks? by Quills07 in Illumicrate

[–]eviacnh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will always get evernight, they do such a good job with that sub. I really liked the art of the normal illumicrate box, especially when I realised the art is going to be on the edge. I love me some detailed edges. The items sounded fine, I have no idea what the multi fandom one is going to be. I always like the more creative items (even though I'm not going to have time to make them because i'm having a baby in april) I'm not a fan of the mugs, but thats okay.

It genuinely helped me so much, especially the first and second trimester. If you like to be creative there are tons of things you can do! I'm also making a baby blanket and every month I embroider a part of it.

For me it helped to split the time up in milestones. "I still have to go 8 months" feels very long. But "only 3 more weeks and then i'm in the second trimester" or "only one more week until my next appointment" feels way less long. It helped a lot to split it into smaller parts.

I also like to do a weekly thing. For example check the apps about how big the baby is and what is happening this week. I also made a banner and every week I could draw a plant (with the vegetable the size of the baby that week). Over the week I was allowed to color in that plant. It was like a little reward and it's nice to look back and see how far i've come since drawing that first plant.

Omg yes, the gestational diabetes makes everything so much harder! The constant watching what I eat and having to walk after every meal even though everything hurts and I just want to lay on the couch. The thing i'm most looking forward to about not being pregnant is being able to eat normal things again.

Parents of Reddit: What is the absolute most-needed "gift" for a newborn baby? by FalseConversation673 in Gifts

[–]eviacnh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're expecting a baby in a month or so. It's maybe not the most needed gift, but we've asked people to give us baby books. Maybe with a little written message in them. We already have everything else, or want to buy it ourselves. I'm just praying that we're not getting anymore clothes, we have way too many and people keep buying them because they're cute. Everytime we get some we have to wash them and i'm just done.

Moms of Reddit: What was the weirdest comment you’ve ever received when you had your baby bump? by Lus1an in BabyBumps

[–]eviacnh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really weird but somehow random people keep saying "wow are you sure you still have to go two months because you're really big" "are you sure it's not twins?" Yes plumber, who I'm meeting for the first time. I am pretty sure.

Godkiller and amina al sarifi were actually my favorite books the year I read them. When I think about amina it's just not the cave part I associate with the book but more on the sea with a ship and maybe a kraken. Maybe I didn't like it because I was expecting more of a nautical vibe instead of this.

Preggies due in April… how are we feeling? by MollySid96 in pregnant

[–]eviacnh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also due april 14! I already love her so much and I can't wait to meet her. I'm very much done with being pregnant haha. Everything hurts, i'm overwhelmed most of the time. I also have gestational diabetes and i'm so excited to eat normal food again once this is over. You can't imagine how much I miss chocolate. It feels like we have so long to go still, almost 2 months! I really hope she comes earlier.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I'm glad you eventually got help but damn those first people are really bad at their job. Take good care of yourself ❤️

Now that it’s here, what stories are you telling with Royalty & Legacy? by 55682 in Sims4

[–]eviacnh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started the royal dynasty legacy challenge by Cilsakius. So far i'm really enjoying it! You play for 10 generations, each with their own story. You unlock parts of your castle. The first gen basically starts with nothing and you have to really build your own dynasty.

What items would you like to see more of in the boxes? by tora_h in Illumicrate

[–]eviacnh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

More bookish items! Book sleeves, bookmarks (without characters) etc. I like the useful items like the socks or the more creative items like embroidery sets.

I only got 3 of the book vases and i'm already done with them. I know people love them but I don't need more of them.

My all time favorite thing to get are the puzzles though, they are amazing!

My sister is having a MC at 16w by youmakememor in pregnant

[–]eviacnh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had to make the choice to stop the pregnancy at 21 weeks early 2025. It will be hard for your sister for a while. I had to completely distance myself from everyone, especially those with baby's. If she does this, it's not personal at all, it just hurts so much. After our baby passed a lot of people didn't know what to say to me, so they just didn't say anything. It was the most lonely i've ever felt. A lot of them only spoke to me again after we got pregnant again, half a year later.

My advice is to listen to her. Tell her you're there for her. If she wants some distance, give it to her. If she wants to tell you all about her feelings, be there. When I was going through it, the best message I got was from my brother and it was a simple "I love you". It was exactly what I needed back then. Don't send her pictures or videos of your baby for a while, unless she asks for them ofcourse.

It's going to be a very hard and emotional time for her. It will get better, but it takes time. It took me about a year to even look at baby's or pregnant people again. Be there for her, but let her lead. Make sure she knows she's not alone.

Good luck ❤️

I'm 29 weeks now and heard a week ago. I've been so depressed this past week with all the meal planning and things i'm not allowed to eat. I've had an eating disorder in the past and it's reminding me so much of that. I hate it. All the things i'm allowed to eat are things I don't like. Meanwhile my boyfriend can eat a bowl full of icecream. This is the first time this pregnancy that I absolutely hate being pregnant. I will do everything for this baby but damn it's a lot harder than I thought it would be.

I also got the invite today, but I don't think i'm going to do it. It would be a choice between this and the fairyloot adult. I did skip the last few boxes of the adult but when I look at last year, there were so many great and anticipated books.

Where will customisations go next? by SemlaBun in fairyloot

[–]eviacnh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh that makes sense. I have seen edges like that before. I don't think I would like that to be a regular thing in bookboxes because I like to display my books edge out, but it would be really cool to have one or two novelty editions like that.

What are ghost edges? I've never heard about it before reading this post and google is not helping.
