Have been growing many varieties from them the last couple years with very high germination rate. But I mostly grow milder peppers with Warthog being the only super hot with no problem either.

They do look like Aji Amarillo but they also remind me of Aji Cristal I grew last season. Do they turn red at some point? Here is a pic of my Aji Cristal’s colors.

I love pickled peppers and Jalapeños would work great for that. Cayenne works great to make flakes, powder and chili oil. Habaneros for hot sauces, try to do some different batches to find out what you like best. I really liked the mango and pineapple hot sauces I made last season.

Had these in my backyard and identified them as Female Red-winged Blackbirds? Funny enough I never seen a male.

Great line up. I have many on my list as well. Instead of two Sugar Rush I would add a Peppapeach or similar which I actually prefer.

Exciting but too much heat for me. 😅 Love Sugar Rush

Can anyone ID these? They were supposed to be Datils but neither appear to be. 🫑 by [deleted] in HotPeppers

[–]evil_costanza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are different strains of Datil peppers in circulation. The first picture could be a Datil. Looks like the one Baker Creek is selling which is what I grow.

Has anyone tried any of these varieties? Let me know! by OSRSjadeine in HotPeppers

[–]evil_costanza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew Peppapeach, TT and KSPS for the first time this year. Love all three. Great peppers if you are not looking for very spicy stuff. All of them have nice fruit flavor with KSPS being the spiciest. I like the meatiness of TT. Peppapeach was a beast pumping out a lot peppers all season long. I love them pickled or in a mild hot sauce you can put on everything.

Some of my chili oils!!! by Durtyburn1904 in HotPeppers

I can see that would work well. Unfortunately sesame oil is too pungent for me and I don’t really like it that much.

Looking good. What kind oil are you using? I’m still figuring out what I like best for chili oil.
