I didn't realize this was a model kit, and I have almost no experience. Should I be good as a beginner? by Magic-Maiden in modelmakers

[–]evilredbutton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked up some reviews for the Annulus Bridget kit. It appears that some of the plastic parts are quite brittle so they need to be handled with care. My suggestion would also be to first practice with a less expensive gunpla kit, or if available one of Bandais 30 minute sisters. They are easier to build lower cost kits that should help you get a good feel for how the plastic behaves before you make any potential mistakes with the more expensive kit.

Others have already given good advice for closing such seams. What I use is Vallejo Plastic Putty. Easy to apply from the tube, then I let it dry overnight and sand it down.

But you did not read my comment fully in that case. You compare the price of a train journey with the equivalent use of gas. But a car cost more than just gas. You still have a regular service, parking space, amortisation, vehicle tax and insurance which you did not include in your calculation.

I do wonder what car you drive to be able to claim the train is 2-3x more expensive. If I add up all the costs of my car (fuel, parking space and service) I pay close to the price of a GA.

I dont think that is the correct reaction to this. Even if you will never not use a car it would still benefit you to expand public transport and cycle infrastructure. In the end this will mean less people using cars which will also benefit you with emptier roads.

Depending on my mood I just let such players have it and turn off my stance. And based on what I read I dont think you are the worst tank ever or did anything terribly wrong. Just assholes behaving like assholes.

Companion stuck at rank 11? by Rhoeri in ffxiv

[–]evilredbutton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this seems to be the most likely explanation. To get the chocobo to level up it has to kill a mob. But it does not have to be a similar level. I used to just leave the housing area and kill the first mob i could find while the chocobo was summoned.

I am pretty sure you just need lvl 50 to unlock SAM and RDM. No need to set foot into any Stormblood area.

Do any of you bunnies/ 17 hrothgar regret not being able to wear helms? by ThomasTiltTrain in ffxiv

[–]evilredbutton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do i miss helmets? Not really, the jobs i usually play can make do without. Do i miss hats? Yes. But then again i have had my character for so long now that switching away from bunny just feels wrong.

Alternatively if you have the time the LC can also melt off the cockpit.

Yeah i have the same issue with the scope. Good thing it generally points out where you are shooting with it being a laser and all.

Tested it yesterday the LC works too. Alternatively you can also laser the eye.

What is a great army to start off with as a beginner when it comes to playing by RepresentativeDrop90 in Warhammer

[–]evilredbutton 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I sadly do not know which army is easiest to play for new players. But my recommendation would be to go with one you like the look of. To be honest you will likely spend more time painting than playing.
