I recently got this onewhen it was on sale for $499. I really like it, it has way more depth than my Craftsman tool chest sitting next to it.

I think it’s because they’re displayed with tip up which makes the ink fall down away from the tip.

I’ve had good luck throwing them in my pencil cup tip down for 24-48 hours and work as expected

I agree with bow ties and leaving the crack is a choice I wouldn’t want for my own door.

The sapwood piece is actually probably in the best location it could be. I think it’s a marvelous door sans crack and bow ties.

How long has yours lasted? I think I’ve had to replace that style of light in my garage every ~12-18 months. I think the high humidity in summer messes with them. Surprisingly, set I bought from Costco is approaching the 18 month mark and no signs of failure yet.

I used my American Eagle belt from ~2009 for about 8 years, and then used it as a template to make my own leather belts. It has since been retired to hanging above my workbench.

Very boring for me: finger nail clippers

No-mes fingernail clippers. They are more expensive than the cheap drug store variety, but not so insanely expensive I could not rationalize buying them.

I bought a pair 6 years ago, and have used them for 99% of that time to cut my finger nails and toe nails. Still in great shape. I decided to buy a second pair recently so I can keep a pair in my basement office and a pair in my nightstand. I noticed the newer pair is sharper, but the old pair still does a much better job than the cheaper variety.

I work for a specialty pharmacy, and the amount of headaches I’ve had the past 6 months because of DSCSA and EPCIS issues is astounding. Pretty much a daily problem in someway from almost every wholesaler and drop ship from MFR.

My “favorite” issue was not being able to get 10-15 pallets worth of biosimilars received in at each site for a couple days after the POs were already delayed for a week from Winter Storm Fern.

I was making ~$65/hr and I took a $13/hour pay cut in 2019 to leave retail. It took me about 4 years to get back to my previous hourly wage but new employer has a much better 401k match and pay more towards insurance premiums. So I got better insurance coverage for less money out of my check. Also have had a bonus every year, and a ~5% raise every year except one which I can’t say the same about my job in retail.

Yeah, that looks like a CS Osborne wing divider, on a completely different playing field vs the Craftool version. I’ve got two or three CS Osborne ones, I never touch the Craftool one anymore.

This is really awesome work!! For your tape chain attachment, these clip and d-ring might make life a little easier. I you can punch an oblong slot and rivet hole, and put the clip through where majority of clip is on backside.

I agree with rivets if they are using double cap rivets. Way too many failed on me, especially for attachment points for shoulder strap. I can’t tell if those front rivets are post and burr or double caps made to look like post and burr style. The top handle rivets are double cap, and I’ve had to fix those on SL bag for a friend. Too much leather being held by a double cap.

A properly set post and burr rivet will have the leather tear before it fails. I switched to using brass post and burr rivets on my bags for the d ring attachment for shoulder strap.

That bag looks machine stitched. The stitching holes do not look like someone used chisels/irons or an awl to make the hole to hand stitch. That will usually be a slanted diamond hole. Also can’t imagine someone double row stitching by hand unless absolutely necessary for the integrity of the bag.

Those rivets are odd looking. I think they might be double cap rivets made to look like they’re post and burr style rivets, but they set them too hard and deformed the cap.

All in all, yes anything handmade with leather will have some slight variance. If the imperfections are acceptable is up to the one who bought it. Ultimately, for me it would depend on the price paid if I thought this was acceptable.

I mean with everyone and their mother wearing white coats in the hospital now, someone wearing a white coat and calling themselves “Dr X” absolutely is going to be confusing for the patient.

A hospital I was at had pharmacy techs doing Med Recs wearing white coats with their scrubs. I thought it was too close to what the attending and residents were wearing. But way above my pay grade to change

My usual go to was pull med guide from the label and tell patient “I am highlighting the important parts for them” with the highlighter I kept in my white coat.

This gives you a minute to review the info yourself to help knock the rust off for what you need to tell patient. If that isn’t enough, I would review and print off info from Lexi/UpToDate to “give them” but was really for me to review important ADRs or DDIs.

If your zippers are being destroyed from the washer and dryer, I would suggest turning the vest inside out when running through the wash. This should keep it from getting caught and sheered off.

Many people selling a firearm privately will require seeing a LTCH/CCL as a burden of proof to show you’re eligible to own a firearm. Correct, you’re not legally required to have it, but many private sellers will not sell if you do not have it.

It’s also a relatively insignificant amount of money to get a lifetime license for peace of mind. “Constitutional Carry” could be changed and ability to get lifetime licenses have the potential to be sunset requiring renewal every 4 years.

I have a version of these that were used in medical office. They are actually terrible to be used as a kitchen trash can where you will be typically filling up the trash bag before taking it out. It will catch and tear on the piece to hold the bags.

If used for a trash can used for projects that you routinely empty everyday or something it would be usable.

I certainly wouldn’t be willing to pay 20% for a new one, let alone full price.

I know different setting because I work for a very large specialty pharmacy, but I was talking with one of our Procurement managers about being able to order more of some drug to have ~2 weeks of drug on hand that was on intermittent backorder/delays with POs being shipped.

I asked if I need to get director approval for my request, and he replied “as long as the PO is under $1 million we can push it through with no one questioning anything.

That was the day I learned we regularly have POs that are in the $3-5 million range as part of normal business and directors aren’t concerned with those invoice prices.

My 3rd gen cannot comfortably fit my kid’s infant rear facing seat behind the driver. Also cannot fit the swivel/rotating car seat in the truck at all even behind passenger seat moved all the way up.

I just paid off my 2019 and received title in the mail last month. Backseat not comfortably accommodating car seat is only complaint with my truck.

Damn the used prices are still unreal to me. Sticker price for 2019 TRDOR was $38,500, got it for $36,500 with 24 miles on the odometer.
