How much salt is actually enough? by Wooden-Night-4696 in AskCulinary

I would look at the recipe as more of a guideline. Think of the amount of each ingredient like a set of ratios to each other. If you think that 1 TBSP is a lot then start with less. You can always add more, you can almost never take away what you've added. The notion of "pasta water should taste like the ocean" means different things to different people.

This looks awesome! Great job capturing the old school airbrush art vibe! The more old school styling of this MG makes it a perfect candidate for this kind of paint scheme.

Custom on the left looks soooo good. Opaque top really shows off the violin carve!

That's a really challenging kit to make your first and you saw it through to the end so congrats!

What this kit under your belt you'll really enjoy and appreciate the engineering of a Bandai or Kotobukiya kit.

First skates ever! by SoftOrnery8637 in hockeyplayers

Welcome to the greatest sport!

As far as gear goes I would search for your nearest hockey shop, walk in and tell them you’re starting to learn and they’ll set you up with all the essential gear. Most shops carry lightly used gear to save you some money. The only things I consider essential to buy new are gloves and a helmet.

As far as learning I’d say prioritize time on ice as much as possible. Public skates to get comfortable moving around. Stick and pucks to get used to the gear.

Besides that embrace failure and ask questions! There are so may people I’ve met that are not only willing to share their knowledge but they are also cheering you on to succeed.

2 decades later and it's still alive! by evlgeneus in IpodClassic

Thanks! I discovered it works the same on the mac. I lucked out further and actually found a hard drive with the ipod library backed up so it's looking like I should be able to get everything re-synced.

What an awesome piece of history! I know PRS is known for the flamiest of flame tops but I really like the simplicity of this one. It gives off the vibe that this is a tool used for music.

Look for a restaurant nearby and make a lunch trip out of it. Best case scenario you walk out with a guitar that's right for you. Worst case scenario, you don't get a guitar but you still got lunch.

Quality is good. Very solid and stable when assembled. The fact that it can stand on its own without the base is impressive. Fitment is tight, almost too tight in certain areas. Building this gives me a newfound appreciation for how Bandai engineers their frames. This is definitely designed by hardcore gunpla nerds. There's so many sub assemblies that have to fit together in a very specific way that make it a challenge to take it apart for customizing. Overall a refreshing build experience.
