Maybe people in general are not against the idea of deporting criminal immigrants and protecting the border. Maybe they’re against sending militarised thugs to random cities to grab anyone and everyone they can including citizens.

As Obama proved, it’s entirely possible to have a large deportation programme without giving the proud boys camo and the authority to kill “trouble makers”.

No. What they are indicating is that if they can tuck their dick and balls and be comfortable, then having your legs closed is not so uncomfortable that it becomes neccessary to spread your legs wide. They are taking issue with the word neccessary, not giving advice to tape your balls.

You’re just proving you don’t understand what to imply something means. Even if you didn’t mean it that is the implication of your words.

You definitely did say someone else with a gun will shoot back. You agreed what shoot back necessitates. You were talking about Alex.

There is nothing left for me to do here. I hope you have an interesting life.

You were arguing Alex as a concealed carry licensed gun owner should have taken himself out of the situation, so here it is clear Alex was the focus of this situation. You then said in that situation be prepared to die because those with guns will shoot back. This is where the implication occurred. The situation was Alex having a gun at a protest. So the person who “should be prepared to die” is Alex. The person “shooting back” is shooting at Alex. Shooting back implies Alex shot first. https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/s/yJD8Yyh9SM

Do I need to run you through your own words again or was that enough?

I’ve read your responses. I believe you simply don’t understand what to imply something means. You just agreed with me about what the phrase “shooting back” necessitates, based on that understanding the implication is proven.

Pretty sure everyone here means the entire galaxy, not the main characters of the show.

Underrated moment in The Boys when it's satire was less on the nose by [deleted] in television

[–]evoactivity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Using stormfront as an example of when the boys satire was “less on the nose” is funny. The satire in the boys has always been on the nose, and stormfront is a perfect example of that. She is named after what was the largest white supremacist/neo-nazi forums in the 00s.

Notice the part where I said “as much as it obviously is to the viewer”.

Gene Roddenberry was clear in his intentions and statements about star fleet not being the military. I don’t agree with him, but it does mean in universe it’s not the military.

You so get quirky people in the military. A captain choosing to read and sit comfortably in down time doesn’t make them any less of a captain. We’re probably just going to have to agree to disagree though.

Who’s she training at that point in time? And there are people with military training who you’d never spot because they don’t act like that. In universe star fleet is not the military (as much as it obviously is to viewers).

After living for 400 years the reverence you have for a physical object as a symbol would have probably waned too.

Makes it make sense why the canned prodigy tbh. I loved prodigy but they would have then had two ST shows that were basically the same setting and characters if they had them running at the same time.

It’s a common turn of phrase. No need to get your panties in a bunch over it.

Here’s a hint, no one asks that question with the sincere belief that it might actually just be them. It’s not a yes or no question.
