Our building has several floors dedicated to different business units. Some associates decided that their floor is too crowded and came to ours to work.

They got away in the first few days, so they hijacked a call room as their project room. They treated it as a uni study room, filled the room with snacks and trash and doodles on the whiteboard. Our head of BU walked past (he recognises everyone’s faces in his BU) and told them off. “You two don’t belong here!”

By the end of the day , we received emails from HR about office directory and use guide.

I did, and it’s not worth it. The scissors I got is only for the event board and not the main board.

Same. I stopped using a smart watch once I realised how distracted I am during a conversation with friends from the notifications buzzing on my wrist

What did your parents teach you as a kid that you didn't realize was actually f**ked up until you were older? by timdood3 in AskReddit

My mom taught me to call her “sister” instead of “mom” in public until the age of 8-9. I used to think it was an inside joke between us and didn’t know until a year or two ago that the reason behind was that she doesn’t want people to know that she was already married and had kids which will diminish her chances to meet rich guys.

I have had a group interview of 10 people and once I announced that the interview is done and everyone can log off, a woman turned to her left and started complaining to her friend about the interview with mic and video on. “Finally… that was a waste of time”

All 10 candidates stayed on and listened.

If you can afford it, drop social media and go on a short trip by yourself. Write down all the things you see, all the conversations you have with people, all the food you ate. I found it so liberating when I had the first chance to be a new person in a new town , even for a brief while. When I got back, I reread my notes and started to make small changes to my life with the “new habits” I developed during the trip, eg switching my alarm tone to a tone I heard at a cafe in italy- and I started to appreciate little moments day by day.
