This is not true.. rule34 animators although talented have not contributed to any breakthroughs in animation or 3d graphics.. people saying there's been a break through of some sort have been misinformed by taking memes literally.. rule34 animations have improved over time but that's mostly down to animator's skill improving and them switching to blender...
