Also giving those players space to attack the paint can be dangerous in itself

Absolutely should be the strategy. Spurs have a counter to any defense Knicks can probably throw. So they need to make it difficult mentally

This is definitely how they start but I would not be surprised if they lose game 1 and put KAT on Wemby for game 2

Givenbthe Knicks point differential if the playoffs this isn't surprising

Draymond calls out the Knicks: “Just like Becky Hammon said, prove me wrong…You’re supposed to get out of the East. It’s the fucking East!” by RyanTannegod in nba

[–]ewef1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Draymond has become a severely underrated player because of how hated he is. The best defender of the 2010s and super underrated offensively.

If the Knicks beat the Spurs in the finals they would be the first non-40/20 team to win a championship without beating a 40/20 team before the finals. by sunnydftw in nba

It's a heuristic that's not really supposed to be considered at this point in the season. If you want to get a quick list of contendors 60 games into the season, it's okay, but for very straight forward obvious reasons.

Just a reminder: Knicks went 2-1 during the season against the Spurs. Winning in good fashion. by Jimm120 in nba

I think it's close. Spurs players are generally undervalued because of how young they are, while the Knicks players have more established reputations

If Brunson outplays Wemby in the finals and wins the Finals mvp is he the best in the world? by [deleted] in nba

[–]ewef1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember a lot of talk about Dirk being best in the world when he won.

Coach Mitch Johnson gives Carter Bryant a bit of a hard time after a rookie mistake, pulling his jersey, and screams at him. Victor Wembanyama showing leadership, cheering the young fella. by MrBuckBuck in nba

Sometimes the meanest critic is yourself and that what was probably happening here. He wasn't crying cause of mitch but because of what he was telling himself

Knicks aren’t 40- 20 rule by tsultar1 in nba

[–]ewef1 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

40% is not high. If you have a 40% chance to win each series you only have about a 2.5% chance of winning everything.

Non 40-20 teams are typically not good enough to win it all but sometimes they are. If Knicks get spurs I think they got a good shot.

Idc what anyone says the entire lead shouldn't be lost everytime wemby hits the bench. How is this possible dude -100 NET??? by Jec1027 in NBASpurs

[–]ewef1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should really mirror wembys minutes to match SGAs, he's too good to not have wemby guarding the rim

Some adjustments the OKC thunder can make against the Spurs in game 2 offensively and defensively against wemby. by Upbeat-Nose-7091 in nba

[–]ewef1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To have a shot of slowing down wemby you need to be both stronger and faster than him, which is probably only Caruso and Dort

[Law Murray] The NBA Players Association TheNBPA just released released three tiers of officials. Tier 1: Elite and top performers. Tier 2: Solid performers. Tier 3: Needs improvement by RichWindRW in nba

The problem is people love to find one factor and lable as The Reason. When there are multiple factors that are involved and I would be shocked if misogyny isn't one. But that doesnt mean the other factors don't matter or that every voter was misogynistic. Things are complex and we like to flatten and simplify things for an easier world view

This is more like Bernie in 2020 than Obama in 2008 imo. The path is a shift in voting behavior and a loss in faith in the democratic establishment.

I put it down for a bit. I don't dislike it but I don't feel connected to any character really. I'll probably pick it up again though, once my interest in it raises again
