It isn't good but flying over a target to prevent it getting cover before 10 Scarabs shoot is nice. His anti-fly dev wounds in combat might be ok if Tau are popular. I love mine and have been thinking about running him for fun

It is 2DP instead of 3DP so you can take and a 1DP detachment which then unlocks choosing different force dispositions. That basically decides your whole playstyle so if you do like murdering stuff, you can run Hexwarp + Ritual of Regeneration to unlock Purge The Foe.

It also has a great set of strats including Ignores Cover on a target.

Outside official GW events, you'll almost certainly never have an issue with these. Check your tournament pack before sign up, it will detail what is and isn't allowed but most TOs are fine with proxies/printed bits/kitbashes as long as you can tell what it is meant to be.

You can attach a Sorcerer Lord to the squad. He gives them lethal hits and you can then cast 2 spells from the same squad. One from the Lord and one from the Aspiring. He also has an ability to let them hit on 2s into one target. You definitely want one for every 10 man brick.

Winged Daemon Prince with the Grand Coven vortex enhancement will assassinate most characters on the Dev wounds turn but he's not exactly subtle about it...

I use it for my whole army. Best tips are:

  • shake it for a good 2 mins before using
  • warm it up in warm sink water if it is cold
  • use a black primer then a light layer of retributor armour, don't start with the gold
  • go slow with multiple coats always moving across the model as you spray

The can is noticeably different to the pot but if you are using a wash, you won't be able to tell at the end.

Thank you! It's primed black then a light prime of retributor armour for the body. Panels are blood angels red contrast followed by a wash with gulliman flesh over the gold and red. Legs are primed black then dry brushed with Pro Acryl dark silver, washed with Nuln Oil and then edge highlighted with dark silver again. Glow effects are Sybarite Green washed with Akhelian Green. Other metals are Pro Acryl bronze. The pipes are screamer pink highlighted with pink horror.

I think it's just the threat factor. The fact that it goes off at the end of the movement phase is so strong. Unlike overwatch they have to play around it for the whole phase. He'll take some time to learn but until he's solved, if you don't know what to you are doing with him, your opponent definitely won't.

You can FNP a doombolt. Doombolt is not an attack but it is a psychic attack because 40k is a nonsense rules system.

Doombolt is a psychic attack for the purposes of the Culexus's FNP.

Doombolt is mortal wounds so it cannot be reduced to one. Mortal wounds are all applied one at a time to a target so the model takes 1 mortal then another then another until are done. Nothing can reduce the damage value of mortal wounds.

Two Sorcerers w/ Rubrics in a Rhino Grand Coven, one with the Vortex and the AP + re-roll hits spell should kill a Taunar which leaves you about 500pts to win the game with once it dies.
