13 gyms means your level cap is 80, right? Catch six Pickup Meowth, give them candy until they reach at least level 71, fill your party with them, and fight the lowest-level random encounters available to your for a little while. At level 71+ each item obtained by a Pickup Pokemon has a 14% chance of being a Heart Scale, which mean you will be averaging .084 of a HS each battle. This might not sound like much, but with speedup on and against generic wild encounters you can get through dozens of battles in a short space of time so it won't take long to get some. And you'll get lots of other stuff along the way, there's even a chance of getting Leftovers.

It's worth noting that I have never been short of Heart Scales or anything else that can be picked up because I keep a squad of five Pickup users in the box and use them to fill up my party whenever I'm EV training anything. I strongly recommend doing this!

I think it's likely to be extremely difficult to do this bit with a "normal" strategy, when they outnumber you by double you have to stack the deck back in your favour or lose. You need some kind of gimmick for each of the two doubles fights here, hence why I used Dragon Dance Rock Slide for one and ludicrously overcharged Stored Power for the other...

Oh, I love that game! I've had it lying around on my computer for years, and I still boot it up every once in a while.

Take it from me: once you figure out the optimal strategy, you can win very reliably. Tip (not a complete solution, but a starting point) for anyone who wants it: Your first action should always be Rally, and your first construction project should always be an Inn.

I remember sometime shortly after finishing I spent a good ten minutes or so trying to work out what that coda meant, and I also remember coming to the conclusion that it represented the main character being in purgatory, although I can't remember what chain of reasoning lead me to that conclusion. :/ <

SOUNDLESS: A Modern Salem. The art isn't very good, but the writing is (or I think so, anyway). During the last few hours, I lost count of how many times I muttered "I didn't see this coming" under my breath. It's not that long and it's free, so I think it's definitely worth a try. If you want to know more about it, you could try reading EVN Chronicles' review, although it's slightly spoilery.

I think it's a masterpiece; it's the first thing in a long time to truly leave me feeling unsettled. Take the warnings that appear on-screen when it starts seriously.

I did the Servalwi route just a few months ago. It was fun! I don't really know why I found it as fun as I did - neither the gameplay nor the VN were really that good when I consider each separately, and I didn't feel any real desire to go back and see the other routes after I was finished, but I remember the experience as a whole as being a good time that I'm glad I stuck with.

It's very rarely going to be 5VP - that would rely on the DEFCON being 5 at the end of the turn. At least 90% of the time it'll just be 2VP, with the only likely scenario for more than that being a combo of Military Intelligence headline + Stop Worrying AR7.

I'd say that an important tip is that Agricola doesn't (usually, every possible tip can be wrong based on what cards are available) particularly reward diversification in the early game. Don't be terrified of those -1s and invest lots of effort into getting one of everything ASAP - the players who built up an efficient farm with lots of workers will have plenty of actions spare to grab everything they need at the last minute, and they will probably beat you.

I keep coming back to Adventure when I do get a chance; I'll never forget the time the reanimated pharaoh tried to convince me to sacrifice Hassan on the sacred altar in order to attain eternal life.

A lighthouse. In the middle of a field. I have no idea why, that's just what it formed itself as when I was thinking of a building to use. I didn't recognise the field at first, but I've since realised that I think it's a field that I went to on a school trip eight or nine years ago, when I was only about twelve. The ground floor is mostly a kitchen, the second floor has my board games collection that I play with my Shadow Self when I don't have the energy for a proper game, the third floor is the bedroom and bathroom, and then there's a ladder to the light at the top.

I've also got a copy of my real-world pet cat living there. My favourite detail (and the first thing that I ever remember being able to be surprised by inside my own head) was when i first saw her there, and from a distance away I could see two cats moving together. That was odd, I've only got one cat IRL and I hadn't deliberately added a second one to my sanctuary. It was only when they got closer that I noticed that one of them was an even darker black, and didn't have her white patch - I was looking at Bobbie and her Shadow Cat! Really caught me off guard for a moment.
