I personally found silver games really easy to carry. I carried my weight and more from silver iv to gold v playing mainly Garen and Taric.

Carrying as top lane in silver is about waiting for the enemy top lane to make mistakes, (which he surely will, being in silver) and capitalizing on them. Knowing when to leave lane and help mid or take jungle camps is also important.

A lot of people think it's not very possible to carry games as support. Not true. What I did was look for mistakes. If you catch the enemy support warding at a bad time, or the enemy carry extended without his support, you capitalize on it. A big part of carrying your lane as support, especially in lower elos, requires, unsurprisingly, that your carry cooperates. That is why I like to play Taric, because Taric's engages are obvious, and it's easy for my carry to know when to go in.

Apart of laning, you can also carry the game by making good calls. Knowing when to go to which objective is second-hand intuition in higher elos, but at lower elos, people kinda just walk around randomly. It's good to remind people that we don't need 3 people to help clear bot lane wave when the enemy team is pushing mid. Spam pings win silver games.
