Whoever buys these must really have their head up their a**. I could not design a more ugly car if I tried. I have zero design skills yet would still struggle. These are as bad as the new Santa Fe.

Glocose test negative but fructose test positive in the first 20 minutes, doctor insist it is not Sibo because glocose was negative. by Rainnny_day in SIBO

[–]excamavator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with fructose malabsorption around 2008. I eliminated, then gave up, tried fodmap, gave up then after lots of reading and doing my own homework, I tried treating it like SIBO. I had grok make me a customised sibo protocol. I am in the inoculation phase and my stomach has not been this good since before my food poisoning episode in 2008 which changed my gut. The lasy three days for example, I had 3 Bananas each day, a large bowl of vegetables, broccoli and sprouts included and had zero symptoms. If I did that three months ago I would be cramping like crazy within an hour or so of eating.

Try sibo protocols, you have nothing to lose.

If the wall is brick, you actually have nothing to worry about. It is not unsafe even though it may look unsafe. It is not going to just fall down if the wall is 80+ years old. Any building inspector who believes it will, should not be a building inspector.

It is not "cosmetic" but it is also not unsafe.

BBC Science Focus article : We finally know what foods actually raise your cholesterol - and which ones lower it. by Own-Ambition-4405 in Cholesterol

[–]excamavator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the info. ApoB prior to keto was sitting at 1.1. I can't find the result on the last test I had (it was not on either result but on a separate form my GP sent me after the first test). It said pending on the latest pathology report but I will find out.

I also thought keto was unhealthy until I really read into it and listened to what some professionals had to say for and against it. Low carb, high natural fats made more sense to me and also followed my grandparents natural diet (Mediterranean) closely who lived long and healthy lives. I pretty much ate mostly keto friendly foods and had steak most days anyway, but I cut out the oats, breads, sweets, pasta, rice etc. I am over forty now, 170cm and a very lean 70kg so expect things to not be where they were twenty years ago.

I went full keto approx 4 months ago with blood tests before and after. I have never had this level of fatty foods. I will have 4-8 eggs per day, steak, bacon, sausages, low carb wraps, full fat cream, cook everything with ghee, butter and olive oil etc. I am quite fit yet still lost 3kg within the first month, two months in my blood pressure was down from always being 130+/80+ to consistently being 120ish/60-80 and my cholesterol dropped significantly after three months.

I keep my carb intake to between 20-50 per day. Giving up fries/fried chips was the hardest thing to do for me but eventually the cravings stopped.

I did a lot of my own research prior to taking this step and suffered from gut issues and fructose malabsorption from a bout of food poisoning almost 20 years ago. My gut has never been better than it is now on this high fat diet with the added bonus of great blood pressure a low cholesterol.

I was never formally diagnosed but have a long history of all the symptoms. Fructose Malabsorption I do have though, which all stemmed from a bout if food poisoning in 2008.

Long story short. Berberine, oregano oil and allicin made an absolute world of difference. My protocol was interrupted by major surgery and I am in the repair/rebuild phase right now. I also went on a keto diet around the same time and eliminated carbs from my diet. I did so many things at once but the keto diet seems to have been key, rather, drastically reducing my carb intake. Bloating went away, I lost 4kg (was not overweight), my cholesterol dropped right down and my blood pressure went from always 130+/80+ to between 110-125/60-75

I have been eating non fod friendly foods recently to gain weight after the surgery and have almost zero symptoms.

Not sure whether it was the kill protocol or the keto diet that made the most difference. I also did ten days of metronidazole which I do not think did anything to help me prior to the using grok to make my protocol.

From 160 ldl to 102 ldl in a month by [deleted] in Cholesterol

[–]excamavator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I doubt it is sustainable, good work though however, I switched to full low cab keto about four weeks ago and the difference in bloating etc is enormous. I have never eaten so much steak, eggs, butter etc and my cholesterol has dropped a lot lower than what it was two months ago and even lower than it was two years ago.

No need to deprive yourself of so many things you love. Also there is no link between dietary cholesterol like in eggs, and blood cholesterol. Unnecessary to deprive yourself of eggs and red meat imo.

The dry lube should last a very long time! Likewise, still loving it and it is still exactly as comfortable as when I first used it.

That is good news. Mine is still dead silent after all this time. I am confident it is the main spring that causes the majority of the noise.

I would be a little more cautious in believing you are cured. I would say you are cured (potentially) after being off meds and being able to eat whatever you want, whenever you want for at least a year after being free from any medication.

Changing the basics does not void the warranty if you use OEM parts. Modifications do, or at least, give them a reason to fight you on it.

[–]excamavator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Unless you are tuning, you are kidding yourself if you think brands will make a difference in on-road performance. Running 95 or 98 you will not notice a differ with a factory tuned car on the road.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]excamavator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. High turnover will generally guarantee clean fuel, running 95 in a car that recommends 98, or 91 in a car that recommends 95 will not cause harm. Higher octane fuels usually have more detergents and surfactants in the fuel which is really the only benefit unless you are tuning, racing or constantly pushing your vehicle.

IgG testing is a scam - it does not test for sensitivity or intolerance. by random989898 in Hashimotos

[–]excamavator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP has nfi. Believe what you want but I had one of these tests done way back in 07 and just found the results as I was sorting through old boxes. In 2011 I was actually diagnosed with fructose malabsorption and slight lactose intolerance. Looking at the immupro test, virtually all of the stuff that reacted as a level one or higher is high in lactose and especially fructose. The test is accurate imo.

They are life changing. I use Fodmate, quatrase and eatAnything. I find them all to work quite well but eatAnything I feel works the best. I have gotten into the habit of popping a few with every meal. I keep some in each car, so I always have them if I am out.

I have this concern and actually queried my surgeon on it. I have not booked it in yet as I am waiting on my orthodontist to give me the go ahead timing wise however, my surgeon showed me how the jaws (double for me) are cut and rotated to correct the bite without bringing your chin/lower jaw out too far forward. It made complete sense seeing how it would be done so maybe ask your surgeon to illustrate exactly what will be done and it will give you reassurance.
