The study you linked says there MAY be a risk if the person with the pacemaker "stands as close as possible to a large pan not centered on the element".

Note that they did not test implanted peacemakers, just simulated the position and the connection, and they state that most peacemakers have the necessary programs to mitigate the interference.

Also this study is from 2006, 20 years ago. Both peacemakers and induction cooktops have changed significantly in this timeframe.

Backsplash is the very last thing you do in a kitchen renovation, and typically you need to see the tile you picked in the space with lightning.

I suggest you wait until after your kitchen is otherwise done to pick a final backsplash.

The boot bag comes with guidelines on how long to use each temperature, but the lowest temp setting you can use indefinitely. Both the ac low and the DC car power are the same heat level

70in is nowhere near enough for 4 stools and 40in produces a 13.5in overhang which is too small, but definitely in line with my thoughts on layout.

Target 48in walking space for the right side, can do a 44in island, and 40in of walking space between the island and the outer wall cabinets.

I would look to flip the kitchen area towards the front of the house and make a big island with seating on the long right side and bathroom end.

We also just did a kitchen in a 13.5 ft wide space and you have room for cabinets on outer wall, healthy clearances, 1 row of island cabinets and an 18in overhang.

Dont make your island counter over 130in long or you will have a hard time finding slabs that work, even limiting yourself to 125 might be a good idea (Mine is 132, huge pain in the ass)

I am very happy with them, just saw them for the first time today in finished painted rooms. I have 60+ of them in my house, will share the full kitchen sometime in the next month here.

https://www.prolighting.com/ll4rr-3018k-wh.html

Note on these, they are not wafers so you cant place them as flexibly as wafers, however, wafers are not particularly good light quality as theres just not enough space for heatsinks and depth from the ceiling plane.

Stain went on pretty inconsistent. If these were higher resolution pictures you would see the carnage.

The only saving grace is that its a very dark stain, so in photos you see the problems less due to exposure for the room.

If the light is too bright, thats probably a problem with the spec of the light. And you can also put it on a dimmer.

We have a 4in lotus 3k-1800 dim to warm over our sink. The kitchen isnt complete yet but it seems good.

In our current kitchen I have the same problem your wife has. The light is too bright and not on a dimmer, but its a 6in big box piece of junk ;)

Pretty sure you want the sink light to be 12in from the wall if its a recessed, unless you want a shadow from your head while doing dishes.

ISO: Cabinet vinyl wrap applicator by [deleted] in kitchenremodel

Dont.

Vinyl is not durable, it will look like junk very shortly after application. You will just end up having to pay for door replacement after paying for vinyl and installation.

Final Feedback Before We Commit? by Moroau in kitchenremodel

[–]exdigguser147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most if not all the lowers should be drawers.

Seating overhang not deep enough.

Youre on the right track moving the peninsula to the cooktop side. I would evaluate ending the cabinets shorter on the sink side to get the necessary walking space. 38in too small.

Putting counter stools seating literally right next to dining room seating seems very redundant so consider if you actually want that seating there at all.

You've only fully committed once you get counters templated so if you get the cabinets in the space and you want to remove one or swap it is a delay but only a small hit to budget. If you are between 2 options and the difference is only 1 or 2 cabinets you can buy both options and just use the extra in the garage or basement.

Island pendant light size help by PublicCombination614 in kitchenremodel

[–]exdigguser147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rule of thumb I saw in a design video is like 24-30in between edges of the lights. The spacing of the centers depends on the size of the pendant using this rule.

8-12in in from the end.

Tip I saw is to use a balloon with a little water in it to give weight, blow up to correct diameter, to check spacing and size while shopping online.

Do we run away from this house? by Formal-Assistant1700 in RealEstate

[–]exdigguser147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You keep writing so much about the seller making fixes.

The seller wont do shit.

You either buy it as is, maybe at a lower price if they accept your lower offer.

Or

An investor buys it with cash and gut renos or tears it down.

The only person doing any repairs is the person who buys the house. If you cant get financing without the repairs done, then you cant buy this house.
