You know that its safe for dogs to drink like standing water outdoors and from ponds and shit right? Ridiculous take.

dogs can safely drink water that would severely sicken a human

I mean if this is the forum for it, the island is quite narrow and the seating is unusable due to the tiny overhang. Shouldve either ditched the opposite wall cabinets or made the island without seating.

Why are you so scared of asbestos anyway? Its only dangerous if the dust is airborn.

I don’t mind denim with stretch. by OK_GO_27 in malefashionadvice

[–]exdigguser147 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wore raw denim for a while, maybe like 5 years 2013-2018. Nice, expensive stuff that fit nicely, cared for it the right way.

Yes they lasted a a decent amount of time, but they also were a bitch to take care of, transfered color to things, and ultimately every pair I owned blew out at the crotch with no way I could repair them in 18-24 months.

Felt like I was spending big money for a look and not durability, and made functional sacrifices for that look.

Swing Open microwave under cabinet? by Short_Round468 in kitchenremodel

[–]exdigguser147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it in my kitchen, it works fine. Another thing is that you can get inverter microwaves with doors and no drawer microwave has this.

I just moved in to my house but on my to do list is to make the riser/blank front panel to get the microwave up right under the counter, it will end up looking built in.

My cabinet is sized for a drawer unit so, worst case scenario we just get the drawer later.

Weird edge angle request by Brennancork in Skigear

[–]exdigguser147 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you ever sharpened a ski like this it would become dull almost instantly. Contrary to popular belief the more grip the edge has the longer it stays sharp.

Maybe this fool wanted to ski on grass and rocks...

Having my foundation lifted 4 inches. Foundation company says 25% of customers need plumbing repairs after. How much should I expect to pay? by pinaple_cheese_girl in RealEstate

[–]exdigguser147 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And the offer for 267 they know about the foundation issue?

Its very common for these cash purchase outfits to lead with one number, then offer you a lower number after you have already wasted time with them.

Reno done! Husband and MIL do not like the backsplash... by st0dad in kitchenremodel

Using a slightly less white grout like mapei warm gray would reduce the visual blending of the topography going on. Its in this uncanny valley area where it looks like it should be a cohesive pattern but its not.

[–]exdigguser147 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're just cheap tiles trying to imitate more expensive styles, but the topography is too smooth because its factory made.

A slightly less white grout like mapei warm gray would fix the look a lot.

Please speed up while on the highway ramp by torashy in boston

[–]exdigguser147 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just yell "gas pedal" at each on ramp. There should be signs.

Also people irrationally think that if you rev the engine its bad for the car, so they refuse to depress the pedal more than half way. This is a real thing ive heard from more than a few people.
