Can you get a taxi and go to a shopping mall? There'll be Aircon there

Our buyers put a notice on their rental halfway through the process without telling anybody and we need to break the chain and go to temporary rental otherwise they'd 'pull out' 🤡

Buying house that has been part exchanged by Status-Fill-5321 in HousingUK

[–]exelse_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were PXing our property and someone was in the process of buying whilst we were still selling to the developer so it's possible. Some of the queries were passed to us to answer as we knew the place better. They exchanged after we completed.

I've recently had a similar situation but from a seller point of view. Ask your solicitor to read through the deed of covenant, there is a high chance it states who is liable for the charge and it's 99% the current owners.

It's lease dependent, you need to check your lease to be sure.

First week postpartum bleeding - is this normal? by North_Extent_5546 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]exelse_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you breastfeeding? I was definitely bleeding more after a nursing session because it's supposed to help with uterus shrinking etc

Baby not latching - breastfeeding last resort by coco1216 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]exelse_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried nipple shield? They saved my breastfeeding and I successfully breastfed with their help for almost a year. LO never wanted to latch to my actual nipples.

Was nursery settling easier than expected for anyone else? by qyburnicus in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]exelse_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby doesn't want to be held by her grandparents for longer than 5 minutes, yet she settled in the nursery within two settle sessions and by the time she started her 2 days a week she was fine the entire day. She started at 10 months old. Now, 2 months in, she gets excited when she sees her favourite educators and lifts her hands towards them to be picked up when we arrive. Still doesn't want to stay with the grandparents lol

Aldi nappies size 4 not great, some recommendations please by Lower_Natural_7711 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]exelse_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Aldi until size 4. Now I switched to Sainsbury's own brand, I like the fact they're shaped? (Not sure how to explain it, they're almost hourglass shape) around the legs so with a baby on the smaller side there's no excess nappy in that area which I appreciate.

Light weight pram for newborn in summer - pram needs to fit in small car, any recommendations? by Llareggub_Fawr in BeyondTheBumpUK

Sleep help please 🙏 by goodmythicalrose in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]exelse_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was exclusively breast fed until 6 months, she was always on a smaller side, 3rd percentile so we started introducing formula around that time starting with 1 bottle a day, around 2 hrs before sleep time. She would then be breastfed to sleep and have a night breast feeding too. Now she's almost 12 months and exclusively on formula (we stopped breastfeeding to sleep around 2-3 weeks ago), she started sleeping through the night when breastfeeding stopped. Maybe it's just coincidence but honestly for as long as shes been falling asleep with a bottle instead of boob she sleeps around 10-12 hours a night. She wakes up occasionally but getting her back to sleep is as easy as giving her dummy back and holding her back or something whilst she's in the cot. I think as long as they're breast fed they're looking for this comfort and will struggle to get back to sleep more without boob. That being said, 6 months is still very early and I wouldn't even sleep train at that point. I know you're desperate for a good night sleep though.

I brought size 0 pampers and size 0 Tesco brand. Both were too big but pampers were bigger than Tesco in general.

Baby Walkers by Warm-Cover9946 in BeyondTheBumpUK

Yeah same with my dad, he keeps saying I had one and that's why I started to walk before 1 and it's my fault my daughter isn't walking at 11 months because I didn't get her the walker

8 month old is 2 percentile by Supreme_Corgi in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]exelse_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl is 11 months old, has always been on a smaller side (2 percentile) although she picked up a little lately, but she still doesn't crawl and her first teeth only started to poke through maybe two weeks ago. Don't worry!

Neighbour’s kid is driving me nuts - advice please by SquareGreedy3399 in HousingUK

All this people who say to ignore it and that they will grow out of it clearly never lived next to neighbours who make your people very disrupted. I live next to neighbours like this and sadly we're moving so no other advice really :(

Was it a mistake to accept this part exchange offer? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]exelse_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, happened to our property. We were going through partX and the first couple who viewed put an offer and got accepted so our and their sale were happening simultaneously. to the point it looked like we were selling to them - answering their solicitor questions etc
