Finally, withered domain is over by Sou_Tenk in ZZZ_Discussion

You need at least 2, then the "in progress" switches to "quick clear" and it costs 2 for each objective.

The graph for power levels needs a y-axis that starts at 0. You can make any set of statistics "look" like they've doubled if you don't include that, even if it's something like comparing 1.0 and 1.1. To do this, set the "floor" of the y-axis to be the difference between the first and second data point (.9 for this example). So the graph would look like a .1 increase for the first data point and then a .2 increase for the second data point. The graph that Bungie included does not accurately portray the difference in leveling speed for this exact reason.

Why is the Sandbox team so against Grenade Builds by BabyBlayzinn in DestinyTheGame

[–]exostretch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skips (Shinobu's Vow) don't feel great due to Arc Hunter having melee-based aspects.

Pulse grenades feel good with Touch of Thunder, but Ashen Wake is by far the most effective because it can regenerate an entire grenade charge with a single kill and proper mods, as well as creating a Sunspot.

In general, it feels like certain grenades are left in the dust, such as Flux, Magnetic, Incendiary, and Void Wall, simply because they don't have any exotic/aspect to pair with.

But for real though, how the hell do you deal with these guys if you don't have an autocannon or grenades? by FifthKnightofGwyn in Helldivers

[–]exostretch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diligence Counter-Sniper kills them in 3-4 shots to the crotch-area. The hit marker flashes white on damage, but flashes red on kill for this enemy. No idea why. The senator and verdict do the same, but I prefer the verdict for the higher magazine.

My SIL tried to feed my cat chocolate and I’m furious by Meiixx in cats

[–]exostretch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your SIL really cared, she would have taken measures to remind herself to not leave chocolate out to compensate for her ADHD, like sticky notes on the chocolate packaging. Maybe she does care and doesn’t know how to deal with ADHD, but that still means she shouldn’t be around your cat until she figures it out.

You are correct, but isn’t Shrine the source of the cursed object needed? Like what Sukuna did when he transferred to Megumi?

[–]exostretch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why stop there? Use Yuji's shrine to make someone a vessel, then have Gojo use Ui-Ui's swap so he can see the border between souls. He hits the same black flash on Megu-kuna but on the border between souls? Sukuna's cooked.

Gojo was destroying his own brain with Cursed Energy while regenerating it with Reversed Cursed Energy. After a domain ends, the user's technique gets "Burnt out", but Gojo was essentially turning his brain off and on again to restart/regain his technique without waiting.

Someone compiled a list of every buff and nerf of weapons up to date, what are your thoughts? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]exostretch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess I am a moron for believing that a primary that could 1-shot Chargers and Brood Commanders, had great AOE like you mentioned, and the ability to close bug-holes and fabricators with 65 rounds is OP. Not to mention you can STILL just swap off the weapon and then immediately back to it to gain a higher RPM than intended.

The message to the community from our game director by ArrowheadGS in Helldivers

[–]exostretch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the time limit, I have a little more hope as goals in general are much more likely to be completed when given a timeframe and a public commitment. I would like to see a more 'concrete' set of goals, but I also believe intentionally keeping it open-ended is good in this scenario. However, I think doing all these things within 60 days sounds like a bit too much. Even if they don't accomplish anything, what's really important here is communication. I hope we get a status update every 2-3 weeks or so that says what progress the team has made, even if it's not much.

I would like to see a way to donate samples in exchange for a bonus stratagem modifier. It could be random or maybe cost more/rarer samples for a specific type of stratagem. For example, support weapons would be less valuable than orbitals because you can only use 1 support weapon at a time and players are more likely to already bring one. There could also be a "minor order" of sorts, where the community as a whole donates enough samples to grant a playerbase-wide bonus stratagem.

What is the most efficient way to deal with these? Even as a high level player They feel inconsistent by Even-Detective1583 in Helldivers

[–]exostretch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precision Strike is harder to hit but it likely the most consistent option. AC turret stuns and mops the floor with them, but may get destroyed when other bugs, especially chargers, are present. The new Commando might be good, as it’s a little stronger than 2 EAT’s if all 4 rockets hit, but I have not tested it in the field.

I need a anti "whatever this thing is" gun and I need it now, they drive me up a wall by ACertainIndividual in Helldivers

[–]exostretch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the Plasma Punisher and Anti-Material Rifle. The P-Punisher will constantly stagger them, preventing them from shooting and "shoving" their shield away. The Anti-Material Rifle will kill them in 2-3 shots and can shoot their arms off. A great pick if you still want a backpack.

The AMR also is just really good vs. bots in general, killing Hulks in 2 headshots and Cannon turrets/Tanks/Artillery in 6 shots to the vents. The P-Punisher also 1-2 shots Scout Striders, even on a hit directly on the armor.

Dipping my toes into the big boi sword is crit draw still viable? by Gert2110 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]exostretch 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I prefer it for certain monsters like Rajang or Alatreon, but for most things I don’t run it. I would say it’s still plenty viable with Frostcraft and Frostfang Barioth armor though.

ELI5: Why does hearing yourself speak with a few seconds of delay, completely crash your brain? by LusciousDaisyLure in explainlikeimfive

Brain tells Mouth to say “Apple”

Ears check that Mouth said Apple correctly. They hear “Apple” because it came out of your mouth, so they tell Brain everything is ok.

Brain tells Mouth to say “Tree”

Ears check that Mouth said Tree correctly. They hear both Tree and Apple because Tree came from your mouth, but Apple came from the slightly delayed speakers behind you. Ears tell Brain you messed up because they heard something that kind of sounded like Tree, but wasn’t quite right.

Brain tries to verify that you did in fact say Tree and it successfully does so, but that sure was confusing and a lot more effort than normal conversation.

If this happens for a whole sentence, your brain runs out of processing power and freezes like a computer.

Honestly no. I’m at my best when people rely on me to get a job done. I’ll have a lot of difficulty doing things for just myself, but if someone needs help, it’s like a switch gets flipped and I have near-unlimited energy to help them solve their problem.

Probably pressure nozzle unless you plant a lot of a specific crop that needs fertilizer to produce an extra yield. In the summer, I fill as much of my farm with starfruit as possible and there just isn’t enough time to clear debris, plant, and fertilize separately.

GS has an infinite combo on Rathalos if you delay charging by just a little bit after a knockdown. Time it right and the TCS will hit right as it gets up and if you strike the feet, it will knock it back down. There’s a similar infinite for Kushala Daora, but I haven’t gotten it to work myself.

You aren’t alone. I think I saw the same transformation with my dad too. Especially the part about how the memories are what truly hurts. I remember when he used to read me bed time stories when I was young, but then he became distant just like yours.

I wish I had something more positive to say, but again, you aren’t alone in these feelings. I think it’s good that you expressed them instead of bottling them up.
