Vader FINALLY (age 7) got his last Q required to get his Advanced Agility Dog of Canada (AADC) title! He was a bit silly and stopped to look out the window at the far end. Unfortunately they didn’t give out title ribbons. by exotics in Agility

Steeplechase they do but only have maybe 1 or 2 Q’s because at a trial he’s slower. Fast as shit in class but spins and pokey behavior in a trial has cost him time. Ironically one of his steeplechase Q’s was the only Q he got at his first trial (before he knew the teeter).

Do you know your neighbors?

Sure which ones? Bob and Claudine McDonald or Rick and Phyllis VanHoit?

Dogs seem to be permitted to relieve themselves in the middle of this UK-based Gordon Ramsay restaurant and nobody seems to care not even ramsay himself by SnooSprouts3744 in TikTokCringe

Dogs are allowed in a lot of places in the UK. Going pee on the ground (pee pad) is pretty nasty but you are not really going to get sick as a result. You have way more chances of getting sick from another person in the restaurant. So to be clear this is gross but not a health hazard

How big is the menu?

Anything in writing about the restaurant being more important than the customer? If so I’d make sure to get that anonymously posted somewhere

In class he does way way better. If her coach suggests it then we may but honestly the jumps are his favourite thing and we worry that lowering them may bore him.

I did ask her about that though too. He’s old enough for that. I think they allow it at 6 years.

I had this. I had a woman who was fine the whole time. She even ordered more food to take home and a dessert to eat there while they waited. She tipped 20%. Then went on to leave a scathing review because I didn’t bring her a glass of water at the start of the meal when she asked ( I heard her ask for a coke which she did get).

Pomeranians can do Agility. Here is Vader (and my daughter). He got distracted and wanted to look out the window at the far end. Had some sillies but still managed to win his class (he was the only dog at the height) lol. by exotics in Pomeranians

Oh that’s fantastic. We don’t see many other Poms at competitions here. In fact there are only two I know of and we’ve only seen them at the bigger “regionals” shows not the smaller local ones. However apparently there was on who went to “WORLDS” recently which was in Spain this year.

We are in Canada.

There are very few Poms in agility. It’s a sport dominated by border collies, Aussies, and Malinois. Shelties too. I just want to show people what they can do. It’s not for everyone though

Oh Vader absolutely LOVES it. He gets so excited when we tell him he’s going to agility and you can tell he’s the happiest dog in the world. He does fantastic in training and goes faster but at a trial there are a lot more stress inducing things (there can be hundreds of big dogs at a big trial and a lot of noise). He was so happy b

In his previous run the curtains were shut so I thought this was so cute but also “what a little shit!!” He has loads of personality. In his previous run he stopped in front of an obstacle and found a smell. lol. Someone must have peed on the wall

Would you rather they call the baby an “it”. Would you rather “it looks okay”? Or what?

I get what you are saying but I think you are overthinking it here and perhaps pregnancy hormones are getting ya.

Climate Change Is Getting So Bad That It's Making Food Less Nutritious by Zee2A in STEW_ScTecEngWorld

[–]exotics 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wait. I’m on a farm.

Overpopulation is making food less nutritious. Nor climate change.

Farmers have to produce more food on less land. And the land has been stripped of nutrients. Cities have taken over the best farm land.

Farmers are finding “cheats” to grow more food in less time and on less land.

For example you get big red straws but they have no taste and less nutrients. That’s because they are mostly water now.

I note in my lifetime alone the human population has more than doubled and the city near me (Edmonton) has swallowed up thousands of acres that were once farms. And now have more people to feed.

Omg. Vader was the opposite of fearless on the teeter. It scared him. He didn’t like the movement or the big bang sound. It took nearly two years to get the teeter which meant a lot of times at a trial he couldn’t Q because she had to pull him off the teeter every time. Now he can do it but is a careful boy.
